Hey everyone, thanks for the reports on this and we're really sorry to hear this issue has happened to you.

Providing any extra details about precisely what happened will help us track this down further and ensure we identify the root cause:

- What day/date did this happen?
- When did this happen? Time of day and timezone would be ideal. (Time in UTC would be even better)
- What exactly happened? Step by Step, the more detail the better:
- What was the affected Character name?
- What was the affected Character class?
- What section of the game did this appear in?
- If Expeditions, was this in the expeditions camp?
- Were you playing Multiplayer?
- Random matchmaking or with friends?
- Crossplay enabled?
- Did you play the Outriders Demo?

All this information will help us continue to zero on whats causing this issue.

Once the issue has been resolved, we are planning to restore lost inventories enmasse, and it is our intention to be able to automatically restore Epic and Legendary gear to any players that lost them. You do not need to contact support at this time, as the recovery should be automatic once we begin the process.

(Edit for clarity: The process will not be run today, but we hope to run it in the coming week. It should address all affected accounts in one go.)

IMPORTANT: Occasionally, some inventories may appear empty for a brief moment in time, but be restored again a short while later. Please let us know if this is the case for you.

NOTE:

A potential prevention method to safeguard yourself if you run into this issue:

- The moment you notice that your gear has disappeared, immediately force close the game, then reboot it.

Logged in after crash with no gear and instantly crashed stating unable to connect to servers.

This happened to me when I entered a random game with the active multiplayer. The match went down when the other players and I went back to the supply camp. Because of that, another problem happened in my game ... Now my game gives Connection Error I always try to enter the game. I think because you’re trying to reconnect the session that crashed. It wasn't enough for me to lose all my items, now I can't play anymore either.

NEWS UPDATE: 11.04.21 - 16pm BST / 11am ET / 8am PT

Earlier today we applied additional preventative measures on to our servers to guard against any Inventory Wipes.

Should you encounter an inventory wipe after 9am UTC / 6am ET / 3am PT, please continue report it on this thread making sure to include the date and a timezone and timestamp as this will help us determine how effective our continued investigations and counter measures are.
