(Its basically the theory that some (probably random) pieces of the lootpool are locked behind expeditions. It did work for me (I never did Eye of the Storm before), and for a lot of others too (given the reactions during the stream and in the comments).
Maybe it just gives the lootpool a good spin, or whatever.
Can give it a try at least.
(and for the hunts... you can check the reward and "reroll" it if you dont like it...)
edit: Some people also claim its bs, cause they never did EotS but got all sets complete.
Then again, doing EotS once is only 40k DPS and some time of your life.
I just finish hosting 8 rounds on CT15 All Gold - Seismic Commander's Helmet dropped but it's stats isn't what I need so it's useless to me lol. So I'm probably going to break it down. XD
