Actually I am more of the thought why are people NOT asking questions.
Given how the game works, what the pre-order offers and the potential to either be worthless or forever useful i think its a very very fair and sensible question.
If you played the demo or know how stuff works in the game, you'll automaticly have questions. Again, due to the lack of detailed information on the items.
I for example could gather, having played the demo and doing my own research about the game, is that the stuff for the truck is definitely something more to a conventional skin/cosmetic.
For the weapons and armor, they don't seem to be just cosmetic but I don't know for sure because I can't find any official detailed information on them.
Mostly just claims by people who possibly pulled it out of their behinds since they mostly don't present a source.
If you just wanted to make comments about pre-order practices, disregard what I've said.
*EDIT*
Yup, as Obiwan says, I'm surprised aswell.

Pre order items are almost always throwaway after a bit, a nice boost at low level but eventually you replace them.
If it wasn't people would be unhappy and accuse of pay to win.
pre order items are rarely worth thinking about, period.
And honestly you will all find out in a couple of days, are you telling people are hinging on this pre order dlc on Whether to pre order or not? I doubt that very much.
EXACTLY and yet the way the game works, what is on offer and the fact they are NOT stated as being "skins" would suggest that this may just be the exception.
Hence I don't think it is daft people are asking.
It's not about people hinging it's about that perhaps they would wait to see? perhaps they would wait to see if price drops? perhaps they want to know because they want to know?
You can't judge or assume someone for asking a question because the reason and need may be beyond your capacity or simply not what you think .... the very idea of bashing someone for seeking knowledge is a trend that is of current times and it is not a good one.
In the same way you think "hinging" on a pre order item is lunacy - i think living in an age where people rely on second hand info from videos made by people who may only have second hand info is equally stupid.
I will never knock someone getting facts from the source.
Ok tell me, if the dlc items are crap will you not pre order ?:P Anyone in this thread?
Correct I would have probably held off since I use various resources to get good deals from legit sellers and i can tell u right now that if a game does badly or well it is on offer the day of release you just need to look outside of Steam.
I originally had no faith or desire to play this game - the demo has swung me but equally so the Publisher still gives me a lil bit of concern - equally so the OVERALL quality is not high enough that id pre-order without even thinking about it.
Generally I do not care for pre-orders but there is the occasion i say why the hell not - if i told you i still got the game with a deep discount, didnt use grey market sites and wont be upset if its a lil bit cheaper on release provided the pre-orders are items not skins then ud prolly slander me - but that is where u and I differ - I am entirely objective and u are here bashing people because u cannot see the wood for the trees.
If you did you wouldn't be questioning and perfectly sensible question.
The devs have said the items will categorically not be pay to win.
The devs have said the items will be level 10.
The devs have said you can upgrade all items but it may not be worth it in terms of cost.
What more do you need to know?
I want you to show me the source that states what you claim because I have not seen it.
I also want to point out you bash people by assuming the motive is pay to win because nowhere did the OP make mention or imply that was their reason ... not did I for that matter.
Your assumption of WHY someone cares about something you do not is EXACTLY why the question is asked. Not everyone thinks like you do.
In my case - the notion its a pre-order item that has a unique and very stylish look compared to ALL the other endgame items i have seen thus far - is compelling considering the game mechanics would allow me to at the very least max the level and mod and tweak to make it "my own".
That is the point of the why i think the question is fair - name a game where you can take said pre-order item and modify it to the extent the existence of one in THIS game would suggest?
Of course it might have no mod slots ... but then why make it upgradeable at all? the idea that you can actually have a i pre-order item that LASTS for any length of time comparatively is actually really compelling .... its not necessarily about easy modes, pay to win or anything like that.
It could be as simple as the feeling that for offering some day 1 trust and support to the devs - you got to enjoy something that was unique to the period of time that trust and support meant most.
See - not everything is at is seems and you wont know unless you ask ;)
