Strife while sprinting rotates the camera
I have my sprint on 'Hold,' now when I strife while I'm sprinting my camera turns. Was this a thing before? Sure is annoying to move a bit left only to run in circles.

Just came back to the game, and noticed this as well.
Not only is it a bit annoying, but it's fairly fast as well, so if you're running and want to strafe; you instead turn fairly fast instead.

I honestly can't remember if this was the case when I last played (I think it actually just stopped you from sprinting, when you tried to strafe+sprint, but not sure) - been a fair bit of time since I played - but I would kinda assume not, as it's bugging me so much right now. Can't imagine it being there before and it not annoying me.

Been like that since launch unfortunately. This is the exact reason, why I played this game with toggle-sprint (which did not trigger the camera rotation because reasons).

I play the Demo with toggle sprint. Anytime I run into something, npc, enemy units, boxes, walls, other players, it shuts off. That's why I switch to 'Hold." I could recall I was able to zigzag while sprinting.

This has not been like this since launch.. Mine just patched now I have this BS camera rotation as well. I had to change back to toggle. fixed but dumb solution

Finally been looking for this for ages, i am having the same problem, while sprinting if i turn left or right "a" or "d" then the camera turns so much i have died a couple times because of it. I can't find anything about it. does anyone know how to report a bug to the devs so they can address it?
ominumi Jul 3, 2021 @ 12:16pm
I found a temporary solution to the problem. If you toggle walk first, then strafing while sprint won't turn the camera. It's as good as it gets for now. I highly doubt the Developers know about this issue. Seem they lump the 'turn camera' keys with strafe. Even though we don't have any 'turn camera' keys.
I hope that gets addressed in the Future, its a bit like with Division2, where when you sprint and want to look around with the Mouse, your Character does also turn in that Direction of the Cam, i hate that in 3P Games. Every Character or Camera Movement that is not intended by the Player is a Nogo in Games. Its sad that so many Developers still havent understood that, it feels like losing Control and there is actually Nothing worse then that.

Someone must've screw up somewhere. Like running a script that changes values into something else. The weird part is the game's controls don't have any 'turn camera' keybind. Meaning there really is one that we can't access. Toggle 'Walk" disable it proves that 'turn camera' keybind exists since it's a seperate control scheme from 'run."

Just started playing and having the same problem and I'm sure it wasn't in the demo when I played that prior to game launch. I can confirm that it only seems to happen, when SPRINT is set to HOLD and doesn't happen if it is set to TOGGLE. That's also the best workaround I have come up with so far and I hope this gets fixed so movement is normal when SPRINT is set to HOLD.

I want to thank you , with spelling the word correctly. The OP doesn't know the difference between the word Strife and Strafe .. The word "strafe" and "strife" have two totally different meaning. So many uneducated people in the world.

strife /strīf/ noun

angry or bitter disagreement over fundamental issues; conflict.

I dunno. Seems like in the context of what the OP is experiencing, strife is an appropriate description too. lol

Yeah it was a typo couldn't change it afterwards. What it suppose to be is Strafe. Moving sideways.
