Petition for Offline Solo..
This is one of the most baffling decision to require a constant online connection for single player.. There is only an upside for them if enabling it.. Specially when I have 45 minutes of "playtime" just looking at the first sequence of things. I have controlled my character for about 10 seconds.. Fine you servers are trash.. Not my our fault. Enable Offline play for solo and local saving.. Shouldn't be too hard.. Seeing how they have spent 50 plus hours "fixing" servers..

Hate to say this but less and less people care about single player online games. Even among my friends I'm always asked "Does it have crossplay? Can we play with you?" If that answer is no, they say MEH and they go back to the games that do.

Single player experiences, where AAA is concerned is a niche market. It's a sign of the times I suppose. Multiplayer games are far more popular and in demand than single player experiences.

Yes, there are exceptions but for the most part if you want these kind of experiences, you have to go Indie.

Now that doesn't mean I wouldn't want or enjoy an always offline mode.
That is not true though.. Glad you used your whole friend base as facts though.

It is becoming more and more true and I'm sorry you don't want to except it. I didn't, either.

One side cant say part of the reason is to deter piracy and the other not be able to even mention it is like gas-lighting and suppressive. What we are saying it it would actually help them be more profitable. And is unnecessary to this degree..

I said I was done with the that particular discussion. If you want to keep going and risk a ban be my guest, but you were warned.
If you look at context the discussion is not pirating.. More... Never mind.. you sure seem to never.

Well the irony is they'll lose sales because of the online 'DRM'. Possibly lose more cash in valid sales than they would have lost from it being pirated.
Company never lose money because of piracy. people who get game illegally would not buy them otherwise. all these drm and anti hack only hurt the people that pay.
exactly.
most people who "pirate" a game actually only do it to try if the game is any good.... and if so then they buy it afterwards.
The reason for this is, that most companies nowadays don't hand out demos or do free test events for everyone (usually only for a handfull of people in closed beta with NDA) before a game gets released.
Pirating never hurt the gaming industry at all, it even helped with sales in longterm (just not on release day).

And BTW, Outriders didn't get pirated yet and never will because of it's structure how it is setup.

Apparently you can't read Store Pages...and since you can't, no point trying to debate with a rock. :steamfacepalm:

I can read the store pages just fine, thank you.

I clearly said even if it says it has a Single player experience, that doesn't classify it as a Single Player game.

These Co Op game, are NOT Single Player games. Co Op is not a single player feature, it is a MULTIPLAYER feature.
A game can be multiplayer and solo at the same time.
A multiplayer only game is a game where you cant play solo like MMO, and a solo game is a game where you dont need anyone else to play.

Borderland is a solo and multiplayer game.

I air on the side of caution. I know there was not actual discussion but all it takes is one.

Game could at least try to save your loot when you disconnect due to server problems. Pisses me off when I finish a hard encounter and get a good gun and then have to do it again but this time get two greens.

It's like game developers haven't heard of SimCity 2013.

So now it was a fact.. to more and more heading that way.. Well we are all living in the now.. Regardless.. Even if that were fact, it has no weight in this discussion. Kind of confusing for someone to even side with what is happening with this game.

Nope. It is a multiplayer game with a solo mode tacked onto it. Why not just go ask Gearbox what they classify it as internally? Go ask Randy actually, he talks all the time.

Witcher 3 is a single player game. There is NO online component, not even Gwent.

Not sure about a lot of what you said, but there's already a pirated/cracked version out there. It still supports your idea that their excuse for delaying piracy was a total failure though.

Excatly this, its beyond any reasonable explanation why a game that has just an optinal multiplayer/coop mode requires a permanent Internet connection. Games with similar features that and are allready much older handle this stuff way better than this game.
