And good if the dev says f it and does something else. Maybe they can make a quality player hosted co-op game or just make it player hosted from the start. Several games do this already. My main issue is paid live service games where you have to pay upfront. I honestly don't care as much about F2P games or real MMO's for that matter. I want to own what I pay for. Anyone who is against owning what they pay for is incredibly foolish.
U need to understand how the initiative plays out when it becomes an official rule.
The specifics need to change.
We already have enough stupid coop games that are not really coop anymore. Peer to Peer - with all kinds of problems and we dont even need to touch on the very important topic of security - but hey. Im ranthing about this bs all the time. They r designed from the groundup as coop with friends - public coop? Bah who needs that? Basic chat? Fck that. Ingame voice? Bah to much work. Any form of communication in a coop game that REALLY needs comms? Ah fck them
Remnant 2 in a nutshell and many other coop games.
If companies are pressured even more to fullfill certain demands they willl just cut everything and not do it. Esp when the law is laid out like this. They cut costs at every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ corner.
They very few games that would require some kind of official rules are games like Outriders, but they are thankfuly not the norm. And the law need to address the issues VERY SPECIFICALLY for those cases. Otherwise it wont work out.
Annnd im done with this topic... the info is out there. If u dont trust someone like Thor who know his sh.t and is clearly on the gamers side... than u have other issues than topics like this.
Arkane took a week to make the patch so if they come out with some ♥♥♥♥ excuse and don´t do it, I´ll, as I always do, put People Can fly as an ignored developer on steam
That isnt really a part of the argument here. The issue here is the game is clearly an outstanding single player experience or at least does well enough for quite a few people here to care deeply about it. That single player experience has been very much affected by piss poor networking and always online ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Disconnect the live service from the single player component and everything will be a okay.
Kudos for keeping this thread up
They pin posts in these discussions (like May 2024), so why should they not read the OP of this thread?
Yeah, because they might already have, so why not show them we still care? Right, that is what we do. Not waiting for "the universe", we just do it.
Agree with you, hopefully we can change this. I want to play this again, a lot, but the problems with servers and the fact a great single player game is always online is putting me off.
