Downloading Full Game with Demo Game on System
I just started downloading the base game while I had the Demo installed.

I assumed Steam would either keep the game DLs separate and I could delete the demo afterwards or it would cannibalize the files, though I don't believe this happened as I am now re-downloading the full game.
Instead, the Demo game disappeared in my Steam games list and I do not know whether I will need to find the files manually and delete them from my Hard Drive or if the files were auto deleted or not.

TLDR: What happens to the Demo game files when you install the full game?

same^ I had assumed it would download separately as well.. when i started the game for the first time all the colors were messed up very badly. trying a reinstall now to see if it gets fixed.

Looking at the Steam Files for Outriders, it appears to be empty during download of the full game. I'm not sure if it just deleted it on its own or not, but I'll reply back again if I encounter the same issues you described...

Yeah its really weird I was thinking the same thing when it disappeared from my desktop but its even gone in my steam library so im assuming it was absorbed which is a first but honestly its probably just hiding somewhere on my drive.

5. I am uploading cut and the file is not verified and deleted. What is the problem?

It is less a problem and more a question. The Demo game was installed and now is missing in my Steam game list after starting a download for the main version. My question is whether the demo files were deleted when this happened or if they are hidden somewhere else on my hard drive... Would there be any residual files that are just bloat now?

It just changed to Outriders for me and all my characters and progress were there.
