Does steam have pre-load?

Considering buying it rn if I can pre-download the game today and not have to do it tomorrow, is that a thing on steam right now?

just looked up that we can actually play on pc until 9am pacific time...... but console players can play at 9pm tonight...wtf ????

99% of games are released like this. Very rarely are there ever a change in its release time.

Yes, but if you have the demo it will be absorbed. If you plan on playing the demo more then you should hold off until you are ready to stop playing the demo.

How do you do the pre-load if the demo is installed? I just want to update it to full version now but am dumb and can't figure it out

Yep, for me Steam shows it as 23 hours away from release.

Just received my key, activated & preload is available.
