Campaign only 7-8 hours long?

Apparently some streamer just finished the campaign in 6 hours.
He skipped cutscenes, and did no side content, but even adding 2 hours for cutscenes (and i doubt the main campaign has 2 hours of cutscenes), you are talking a 8 hour campaign.
Yes the game has side content, and yes some content opens up in the Endgame, but man 7-8 hours for the main campaign is a little dissapointing, especially for this day and age.
We arent in the 360/PS3 era anymore, thought we had got past these short campaigns.

Guys you cant really use the speedrunners excuse when the game is brand new, unless the streamer is psychic or something.

Maybe its just me, i'm just so used to games like The Division 2 taking 80 hours to finish etc.

... people were speedrunning ff7r before it was even released so yes you can speedrun a new game

Yeah but Cohh is the worst exemple, this guy always take 10 more hours than everyone to finish games bcause he will look every books, every texture, every random ♥♥♥♥ in a game for 10 minutes.

I'm not defending this game but long campaigns in Shooters is just a chore. Give me my open world, my quests, my chase items and my uninterrupted multiplayer. I don't need badly scripted dialogue and forced cut scenes or a bunch of loading screens as I map hop from mission to mission. In a game that had a more original premise, maybe more story would be cool but this is just another take on Destiny/Remnant/etc. I doubt the story is more than a tool for showing you what mechanics, levels and boss types there are.

I respect my place as a minority of players but even in ARPGs I love the story, world building, and cut scenes. Love it in these sort of games too. But like I said, I acknowledge my position is totally not the general consensus but I always found it amusing to see such a polar take.

I'd love the story to be good, sorry if I gave the impression that story wasn't something I enjoy. I just don't think this game in particular is going to have one that's any good so I'm fine with it being short.

People were playing the demo for over a month so what makes you think the whole game will die in that time? Just because you won't be playing it in a month doesn't mean the game will die.

any of y'all play Valheim? People dumped hundreds of hours into the game and still complained there was nothing to do after they rushed what content there was. Can't satisfy everyone, and unfortunately the dissatisfied are louder than anyone else.

I mean if one rushes like there's no tomorrow, then sure it can be cut by many hrs... Same way Dark Souls or any other game can be speed run.

Just checked my Uplay. 92 hours for Division 1, but that was 2 playthroughs. And 84 hours for Division 2, and that was one playthrough, and Warlords of New york playthrough.

lol yall talking like he did a achievement or something lol . A person is always going to rush when they want that kind of attention and the people that are like "wow he did this". Have to think do he have a normal job does he have children he is supporting .... Hes just a no lifer that love games and want people to praise him for getting to the end of the game. Thats not an achievement i feel really bad for this guy his real life must be sad..... =(
