Pyromancer Question

Hey Guys,
Got a question. Just hit level 30 on my Pyro and currently have an average of Level 37 gear. I'm running Volcanic Rounds, Overheat and Feed The Flames for my leveling build. Am I better off waiting until I get the Acari Set before switching over to AP Build? For starting out Expeditions should I just stick skill wise to what I've been running as my leveling build? I ran some solo expeditions and mopped the floor with what I have. Granted its a beginner expedition TC but hey you gotta start somewhere lol. I'm running an SMG right now that has about 150 mag. Currently running Perpetual Mobile along with some of the Mods that gives me ammo back. Currently WT 10 and trying to power level them up. I know WT 15 only drops level 42 gear. Just trying to figure out my path right now on what to do. Thanks.

easiest way:
watch some (recent) build videos on youtube and try to recreate them as accurate as possible and focus on doing expeditions. Dont try to solo, because it can be really frustrating. Without someone aiming to help you and carry you, it took me about 2 weeks to get to CT15 and gear level 50. (with someone that has a WT15 build you can do it in about 2-6h)
even if you dont have all of the mods, its better than some random stuff you think would work. (i more than doubled my damage with the mods i already had, when i recreated the techno blighted build from YT)

I’ve been watching Nicktew quite a bit. The issue is most people don’t want to carry you. Even if you set the WT down for queuing for expos nobody will join. Even if I que on my Deva for CT11 it takes 20 minutes for someone to join. I have quite a bit of the good mods that I can transfer to my Pyro from my Deva. The question is is it worth upgrading my WT or just not messing with it?

Dont bother with WT. I just went from fresh 30 to level 50 clearing all expo in gold in the last three days using a anomaly build. Using heatwave with 3 stacks and key mod burn out that can stack and give up +75% damage on enemies. Over heat with the key mod being pants on fire and then the last skill fazer beam. Just look for gear that has anomaly power, cd reduction and status power. Do your hunts to force drop some acari parts like the head and level that up with you. If you can tranfer over some mods on guns from your deva like shadow comet that really really helps. Just get your deva to put stuff like fortess on a blue gun then tranfer it over and dismantle. Thats about all i can think of atm.
Just thought id point out that when i say force drop i mean use the alt f4 exploit on hunts.

Probably try and get a couple of pieces of the right gear together first. I used the middle tree as well and still are atm which might sound a bit weird for an AP build but it just works because all the cd reduction for heatwave and fazer beam. The skill that inflicts ash when burn runs out is really handy because when you consume burn with overheat it will CC everyone which is really handy against birds and stuff like that.

Pyro was my last character I got to 50 because it was so hard for me to get from 48-50 BUT it was my first character I got my "perfect" setup for which is Acari and now I can gold CT15s the fastest using Pyro. I was using a bullet build top tree. Expedition Scorched Lands is your friend. The timer is super generous and I think you can go 20mins and still get gold. That is what I had to do in order to get my 50.

In order to keep my rounds I had Toxic on my weapon and used the armor mod that gives me 40% ammo back on Toxic enemies. Feed the Flames by itself wasn't giving me enough ammo. Problem is, on Pyro, you give up too many mod slots just for ammo regen that you have to forego a lot of damage. Bullet Pyro "works" but it just doesn't cut it. I feel the legendary set that gives us 3x larger volcanic rounds should have ammo regen instead because larger radius is useless when everything gets burned by the rounds passing them anyway.

Anyway, my recommendation is to get 50 using your bullet build then farm Acari. Once you get 3 Acari pieces (any 3) then switch to an AP build because Acari Pyro is stupidly strong.

Cool. I'll do that. Thanks. Played with some randoms today. Unlocked TC7 without much issue. Need to find a better gun then the SMG that I'm using. The damage isn't as good as the others but it has a bigger clip size. I don't have any Leggos guns yet. I've been sticking on some damage mods as I go to help out. Might end up running Golem to help out with the "Oh Crap" moments.

The eruption/fazer builds are pretty good now too... not quite as good as Acari but they are a bit easier to get a set going with some useful mods. I'm still running that on CT15 on my Xbox version since I still haven't had an Acari chest drop.

Just bought the Acari Helmet. Doesn't unlock until level 45 but glad I got it from Tiago.

For all you Technomancer mains out there, how is the Thunderbird for leveling a Techno? Just got it from killing one of the bosses. I do have a purple gun that does a little bit more damage.
