Commandos in HD / 1080p

As most of you know, first Commandos was designed to run in low resolution of 640x480. Even thought the game natively supports resolutions up to 1024x768, it's still far cry from today's standards. I looked for mods allowing higher resolutions and found fantastic Resolution Fix[modelrail.otenko.com].

I strongly recommend at least checking this mod, because I play the game in 1080p and it looks great! Soldeirs are quite small, but you've got enormous view on battlefield. Most importantly, running in high resolution allows you to comfortably divide screen up to 6 independent parts (using built in F2-F7.)

What about Remastered Commandos series? Its 2015 year of the Remastered games what about Commandos. Could whe have one of the best games in the standards that apply now with improved graphics, music, and maybe some new missions to occur?

While it would be great to have Commandos series in one, HD package, it probably won't happen since it's rather niche series.

higher res fix doesn't work with Steam bought game :(

The game's bugged running in a lower res on my 1080p monitor, the mouse won't scroll around the map so it's not playable, is there a fix?

What happens when you start the game? Did you try running the game in admin mode?

Meh problem with 1080p is some maps glitch out and everything is tiny since its designed for lower resolutins, i think better to play with 720p

You're right @Rocket Scientist - contrary to my earlier statement, the BEL fix doesn't work with BCoD. I took time however and searched for possible solution. I managed to successfully get the game running in 1920x1080 resolution ( see 1920x1080 example[dl.dropboxusercontent.com]).

I compiled a fix using portable version executable, resolution hack (from here[modelrail.otenko.com]) and WAD/BMP resources (from here[sites.google.com]). You can download it here[dl.dropboxusercontent.com]. Information how to use it is included in archive (see "README.txt").
