Can't save game
Hi there. I can't save my game on any of available spots. All of them are unused, and when I type the save name and hit enter only an orange progress bar appears, goes to full and I get back to the game but there is no save to load after that, not in the save list nor in the load list.... Any ideas how to fix that ?

Go to your installed directory, mostly "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Commandos Behind Enemy Lines/". Open OUTPUT folder and open the Comando.cfg file. Add the following lines to it,

.SIZE [ .INITSIZE 3 ]
.PROFILE [ .USER 0 ]
.DEVELOP 1

and save. Now your save and load should work properly. Happy gaming :)

Set compatibility mode for windows 98/ME on Comandos.exe in following folders:
[path]\Steam\SteamApps\common\Commandos Behind Enemy Lines - for regular version
[path]\Steam\SteamApps\common\Commandos Behind Enemy Lines\Legacy - for Legacy version

Ok actually helped me :) Thanks a lot :) What is important to set compatibility mode DIRECTLY to windows 98/ME through properties, not through the compatibility issues module becouse it gives you an option to set it back to windows XP SP 3 only. Through properties you can actually set it to 98/ME. Thanks again :) Problem solved

Compattibility with 98/ME worked for me too (on Win 10). Thank you.

It's a bit strange, I have no problems in Windows 10 64 bits. I don't have to use the compatibility mode.

there r two kinds of way to change "comatibility mode" in win10.
first way, following the way window lead how to solve compatibility problem.
the other way, u should change it urself in program option?(attribute)?
there is no option win98 mode in 1 way
i dont know how to explain cuz mine is by korean. sorry;

Works great between this and Windows 98 compatibility.
