Can mods for games even add achievements?

I doubt the goldsource engine supports steam achievments without twerking in the codes

When I opened the game, at the top, it showed achievements- I hope the modder sync's them with Steam.

They're fake achievments, it's just part of the maps events, just like hazardous course 2 with its secrets

I saw an article saying the modder is an ex-Valve employee, guess time will tell (that just means, they'd surely know how, if I remember correctly, Headcrab Frenzy isn't the only mod to do this)... unless they have stated elsewhere they weren't interested in adding them with Steam functionality.

Ah, I see- (not familiar with that reference tho, but I get what you mean).

Hazardous Course 2 is a Half-Life 1 mod available in moddb, it's like a hardcore version of the Half-Life 1 training course.

I checked the dll file in caged, its the exact same size as the dll in half life. It is most likely that there is no custom coding, which was also true for the original version of this mod.

That's because you checked the dll files in the valve folder, a simplier way to find out that there was no additional coding on the mod would have been to notice the lack of dll files in the actual mod folder (named caged_fgs)
