Cant Accelerate or Brake

just started this game, all the other buttons seem to do what they are supposed to be i cant accelerate nor brake so im stuck doing nothing. any ideas? might have to refund otherwise. tried changing the keybind but still not wanting to work

If you want to use just the keyboard for driving a bus you should select "keyboard" (leftmost option/icon if I remember correctly) as control/input method either at game start-up or later by pressing F1. Otherwise the keys assigned to accelerate/brake won't work. And, of course, you should press 'E' (and on some buses keep it pressed for several seconds) to start the engine.

already done that, can use a and d to turn the wheel, r to start the engine, etc just accelerator and brake not working on w and s at all, even in automatic it wont work at all lol. no worries though, ive refunded it anyway. no point having it if the controls dont even work

Hello, are you sure you are pressing Z to disengage parking brake? Have you tried playing the Tutorial?

yeah, i disengaged parking brake, i was on the tutorial aswell, still not able to brake or accelerate.

Maybe there's other controller plugged into your PC? It may be gamepad, steering wheel, VR helmet and others. Also, please check Controls in settings.

i unplugged all other things that could affect it (my g27) but still its happening. no worries tho

That's very odd since we tested the game on different hardware configs and couldn't reproduce it. Have you followed the recommendations I listed above?

It seems that the problem was in the controls. I tried to use a controller which was not previously connected and that worked. Then, when I switched over to my keyboard, it suddenly worked, too. However, once leaving the city and coming back, I have this problem again. I have my controls set to standard keyboard and no other devices are connected. I can do all other functions with the keyboard, but I cannot reverse nor accelerate. The emergency break IS off. I played the tutorial and had the same problem.
