So sadly if you don't have other Linux/Steam Deck friends, then you can't really play online. It can only play online with other Linux/Steam Deck players without getting kicked online.
I play DBFZ online without getting kicked off. (Just regular linux on laptop. Not steamdeck)

This was extremely helpful, thank you. Currently running GE Proton7-37 with no issue. Have not even bothered with an online battle, but its enough to be able to play through story and farm zeni for capsules. I can save the online battles for my PC for now. Hopefully the devs or the mod community solve the online battle issue soon.
