Steam Deck?

Is FighterZ running fine on the Steam Deck? I am making a list of games to install on my deck when it arrives, while I wait for it to be delivered. I was sad to not see FighterZ on the list of verified games as its the only fighting game I am currently playing.

In terms of performance it's perfect and offline mode works well, you can even join online lobbies but you'll be kicked from a match about 1 minute in.

So sadly if you don't have other Linux/Steam Deck friends, then you can't really play online. It can only play online with other Linux/Steam Deck players without getting kicked online.

Hi I'm curious how you got it to work? I've tried Proton Experimental and 7.0 and still nothing. It crashes after the anti-cheat logo...

Use proton GE, google it and set it up

Look up protonup-qt in the discover store to download more versions of Proton. Game works with anything that's newer than the default or experimental proton.

I play DBFZ online without getting kicked off. (Just regular linux on laptop. Not steamdeck)

This was extremely helpful, thank you. Currently running GE Proton7-37 with no issue. Have not even bothered with an online battle, but its enough to be able to play through story and farm zeni for capsules. I can save the online battles for my PC for now. Hopefully the devs or the mod community solve the online battle issue soon.

GE-Proton7-20 works. Look up how to install GE proton. many easy guides.

I recently brought this game to play on my deck and it won't launch. I used GE-Proton 37 and 20 and it still won't launch
