Yes!!! Totally! I already give up with this game due to the last update but play with your friends casually is super fun, you will have a good time indeed!

yea, i bought it last year when the game was already "dead" in terms of support, and already put 200+ hrs on it
If you buy it now you have nothing to miss or complain about the recent polemic patch
kArtCam Sep 10, 2024 @ 11:41am
also it still holds with 900+ players on steam daily so you'll easily find matches

DBFZ is one of the best dragon ball games of all time, you'll have fun

Yeah but watch out for the people who use smurf accounts, I feel quite sorry for them so I put up with it. It must be sad having no quality of life lol

Even with the crashes the fact that we just got a new patch is reason enough.

Its still good. Spending time in the lab is more important for games like this, though. The game is on the older side and there are some killers out there.

Piece of advice for a new player:

As crazy as things can get on offense, Defense is king in this game. The Defensive mechanics in this game are very strong, but situational. Level 1 supers are now frame 4 invincible reversals too, so keep them honest.

no its not the spark changes have just ruined the game and made it just un balanced so save your money for sparking zero

A lot of people overreact with this change imho. This only applies when sparking is on, rarely does anything in a blockstring unless it's a grappler, and is just a bit more damage in combos. Most characters were already TOD machines with sparking+limit break, and high damaging specials are usually relevant at the start of a combo while it's unscaled, like SBroly's ex dive that's often used as a confirm tool. In neutral you just get whiff punished

This is still a competitive 2.5D fighting game, and currently is the only 1 of it's kind for modern dbz games. As I mentioned in a previous post, it survived many dbz games during it's lifespam, cuz they were very different genre, constantly having on average 1k players on PC, it'll survive sparking zero

Rollback is here so online is great unless you live in an isolated island somewhere on the pacific ocean

it depends, if you are willing to put hours and hours in the game, buy it, but people online are really good now, they will kick your ass and sometimes will not let you play the game, but, if you have people on your same level it would be a fun game

I've never played a fighting game competitively before. I've been playing DBFZ for a couple months, i'm now around 1.4 million BP.

I'll never understand why

A) People think people are wasting their time "smurfing"

B) Not realizing that maybe they just never got better.

For the OP:

The game is more than healthy enough to play ranked, as long as your not one of those people who feels that they're entitled to win matches. You aren't.

Get yourself a comfortable controller, sit in ranked, and play. My experience in ranked has been very positive. I encountered two "wall" ranks, 600k and 800k, and beyond.

Before 600k, you'll encounter new players and mid players, this is everyone who is learning the game.

At 600k Rank, you'll start to encounter up to 800k bp players, these players are good enough to be at 800k, but not good enough to pass 800k, which I'll explain in a second.

Anyone you see at 800k rank has essentially achieved the beginning "endgame" rank.

At 800k rank you are now able to encounter everyone from 600K up to 9,999,9999 BP, once you move solidly into 800k, you will no longer see 600k bp players and lower, and will pretty much fight only endgame players. '

If you get stuck at 600k, you probably need to get your bread and butter combos down.

If you get stuck at 800k, than you just need to refine your fundementals.

After 800k, its just practice.

plain and simple. no.

the reason? this game rarely on a sale and is overpriced for poor roster without the DLC'S.

dbz kakarot is right now on a sale for 10 dollars. much better choice IMO.

is fighterz worth it? worth maybe 20 dollar maximum with the DLC'S. not 60 dollars. buy sparking zero instead.
No because you wouldn't be playing offline (without internet) with your local buddies. A lot of people on PC oversee this and didn't call arcsys and Bandai out for that. Just like Rockstar, they did the same thing when it comes onto PC gaming.

You can play without internet fine on your PS5 if you do. But they do they same thing like they did on PC? that's my question.
