What's the best DBZ game on Steam for me to play for single player content?
Is this one any good? I'm never good at fighting games, so MP is off the table. But I am a DBZ fan, so I'd love some story retelling.

That game until Freezer arc is fantastic, after it's a downhill slope.

xenoverse 2.

reason: story changes, paralel quest, awesome interactions-dialogues, im pretry bored about the same history since budokai 1 and kakarot is basically the dbz story.

DBZF is the easyest to pick up honestly

Xenoverse 2. For all its flaws, I don't think there's even any other credible answer.

FighterZ is honestly quite bad at single player, even for a fighting game.

DB Kakarot is ok, but lacks replayability.

Xenoverse 2 is terrible.
Kakarot is good up until Frieza, then it's terrible.

FighterZ is purely a fighting game, there's nothing here for someone looking for a SP experience.

So the real answer is, if you're looking for a good SP Dragon Ball game well, one don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exist.

For single player ? Not on Steam.

For customization & your "own" characters in the DBZ universe, Xenoverse 2.
The downside of Xv2 is the lack of polish as well as the feeling of always staying a weakling even if you're potentially the 2nd strongest fighter in the multiverse.

If you're only looking for some flashy exchange of punches with a bit of control, Fighter Z.
The downside is pretty much that once you have played it all, you got nothing more to do except keep playing it in rinse & repeat. It's not uncommon with fighting game, but still a part that could make it feel less appealing for some.

If you want something like interacting with the world while going into memory lane as you learn a bit more about what has or is happening behind the scene while playing the DBZ story, Kakarot might help fill the void.
I would say that Kakarot is like in the middle between Xenoverse 2 and Fighter Z, but doesn't beat any of them in any part, except in the memory lane as in where you speak with many characters that existed, for some, since Dragon Ball, before Z. If you want a story that does includes about Dragon Ball, prior to Z, Kakarot is most likely the closest you'll ever find in the last 3 consoles gens.
