outside of this format there's nothing else going on... The game is design to make everyone a team assist spammer. which pisses me off.
My friend, I had played other fighting games, in King Of Fighters you dont die in two toches and vombos arent that long, but if you dont understand the gameplay, you will keep being open over and over, no matter what, that happends on all games.
You should try MVC3..on that game you die even in one touch, or your entire team can die in one touch; or Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, you can also die to loops in one touch.
Im not saying the games are bad, they are all good on their own argument/element, I do like games where you have more than 2 or 3 touches to kill someone; but this is a team based game so fights coudl take way too long if each character could stand more than 3 good combos.
On Street Fighter, Tekken you will also see long combos but your character wont be okay as fast and you wont k.o as fast either, thats for sure; but if you dont understand those either, you will still lose.
Try other games with assist man, we told you before, on Fighterz they have cooldowns...and on Season3, assists do NOT REGEN until the opponent at least a frame or so to do an input or an acction, so endless blockstrings are not a thing. We already told you, enjoy the games that dont have cooldowns or the cooldowns are clsoe to none (because assist gotta pose when heading out), and tells us how good that is for your "assist spam fighterz" argument.
CPU's are 100% unpredictable.
Oh no, how dare people play optimally!
That's the name of the game in PvP multiplayer. There is nothing else for you to do but actually get better.
I also played a lot on MVC3/UMVC3 and also did some competitions on it, the comparison with DBFZ is legit, yes the game has many ToD but the gameplay is not that frustrating. At first because you need more skills to land combos, and you the pressure is not the same, you have a lot of pushback on block, which is something you don't have on DBFZ. I don't like super dash mechanic, auto combos and dragon rush. All in all combos are not intersting to watch and I feel very frustrated when facing strong opponent. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that it's not a great game, just that it doesn't fit my playstyle. Also characters really doesn't look so different from on to another. Comparing with Blazblue having very long combos, but also very different playstyles.
I am a Street Fighter fan, will always be from SFII when it was out day one on SNES to SFV now, with all episodes, SFZero, CVS1/CVS2, SFEX, Fighting EX, Tatsunoko, MvC , etc etc.
Seriously you're still stuck on that dude?
CPU is 100% predictable.
First of all, it's a fighting game. Which means players that have more experience than you will always beat you like I have never beaten my meat before. You need to start off by playing with people of your caliber (complete noob). Learn basic combo's in training mode, learn when it's not your turn and when it probably is, stop non stop mashing, it's not much but if you can't help but going in blindly, learning 0 before and during the gameplay, if playing brainlessly is the only way you can enjoy playing games, then this game is not for you, hurry refund before you played it too much. It requires patience and a bit of learning.
This game is almost like powerlevels in the show itself. Between dedicated rank players, If your rank is of 400k points, you'll body complete beginners but you'll be bodied by 700k. If you're 900k, you'll be bodied by 1,2m. If you're Roze rank 1,4m, you'll be bodied by grand priest rank but it get's more or less ambiguous and general around 1,6k where you can call yourself a seasoned player.
It's also made to look and feel like a real action game with crazy movement, not like those boring stale mk, tekken or whatever where you barely dash 1 meter per hour LMAO.
No, it's exactly about being beaten by more experienced players, because they will know exactly "HOW" they need to have you beaten. And you have to learn to counter play, step by step every layer. Make your own layers of thinking one step ahead once you manage the basics of blocking, neutral and pressure. And it's very easy and fast to do, you just have to stop being lazy. Get the right approach and attitude and you'll be fine
..all I'm trying to say, experience gaps in this game MATTERS. A LOOOOOOOOOOOT. I can't stress out enough for you how much they matter. If you don't like that, it's not for you. The amount of possible layers in gameplan this game has - decreases the possibility of new players beating more experienced players with mindless randomness. You can't play it mindlessly and hope to win. If you did win, most likely they simp let you win. I do that all the time ahahaha
The beauty of fighterz like (in any other fighting game), combos can be as very simple and minimal on bar and damage, or complex and optimal on both. Obiously my corner route with Kefla will be different than Trunks, Black or Vegito. And their midscreen combos might look some what similar with different enders; or even more different if I go for more corner carry than damage/bar or oki.
On KoF there were rotues yes, but freedom for the creatiivy of those was very limited. Here I can do 3 different solo corner routes with Trunks wich each looks sightly different and net me almost the same result but look really good by ASW.
The gameplay here is no different than any other fighting game, win neutral and try to gain adventage over the opponent, even an strong defense can be a HUGE adventage in this game. Keep in mind the SD or neutral options your opponent has; just like you gotta mind Kyo, Athena or Iori's DPs when you do a jump in;or ground approaches pokes, grabs and rolls.
-Edit-
Oh and about experience, I have 3k matches and Im on GoD rank, but even I had lost to SSJ Blues from LEGIT players on said ranks with beliable time/scores, why?, because they had better defense than me AND have very good fundamentals, I feel very proud of the lower ranks players on PC who legit had put their heart into this game and try to get better and do have VERY solid fundamentals.
Smurfs can destroy me for sure, Im not that good, but I can see the difference between an smurf and one who isnt.
I mysefl tried casual first, got destroyed but as I saw I got pared with someone with over 2k matches...I tried ranked and found players who barely knew how to play the game aswell, and from there, I slowly decided to try to learn something new for fighterz as offten as possible, like: "okay this gives me a cinematic launcher...BUT if I do this before it, it wont".
Try to learn the game one step at the time.
