Can DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 4 replace DB FighterZ?

2 Differet kind of games, one is a 2D Fighter and the other is an Arena Fighter.
Besides Budokai Tenkaichi gave birth to the fighitng arenas, and the latest one was Xenoverse 2, so dont be shocked if when you play Budokai Tnekaichi 4, you feel like "oh its like Xenoverse".

Only time will tell, but I bet you it wont be esports competitive, One Piece wasn't, Ninja Storm4 wasn't, Xenoverse 2 wasn't, and definitelly BT4 wont be.

I played Xenoverse1, I have friends who played Xenoverse2 and I had seen my fair content of it; we all agree Xenoverse 2 PVP its terrible and not balanced at all, but the co-op aspect is something I can 100% praise, along the RPG elements in the game. So it can be a very fun experience if you just avoid PVP entirelly.

I did enjoyed my time on Xenoverse1 building my character, playing missions, making builds, grindind stuff and helping others to beat their missions.

-Edit: Oh and for "you need to play xenvoerse1?", not neccesarely, the sequel does make your OC from the first game appear in the sequel and for some events, but I wouldn't say is a "MUST". Particularly cause you will feel Xenoverse2 main story content is a recycle of the first game in like 85% of it. Plotwise Xenoverse is about fixing the story events being changed, and on Xenoverse2, your fixing some of the fixes your did on the first game now being undone.

If I had Xenoverse2, I would be playing the single player and the co-op online. But if your expecting a balanced pvp or pve experience; you wont find it on xenoverse.

No, very hard, tenkaichi games are super casual, is a 3d open game (like xv2) vs a 2.5d pure fighting game, not a chance

There are more chances for people to leave xenoverse 2 for tenkaichi 4 and even that the goal is super diff even if both are arena fighting game. Xenoverse 2 has cac and if tenkaichi 4 is like what other tenkaichi been about then we dont gonna have cac and mostly content like other tenkaichi and i think maybe less because graphic quality + time restraint = missing things.
For fighter z roll back connection is coming and xenoverse 2 is still getting updates. we'll see where they go from here.

Resume: As long as tenkaichi 4 is not out we cant see the end result but im pretty sure people not gonna drop xenoverse 2 nor fighter z for tenkaichi 4 but gonna be another good game added to the list of db games.

I'd say it will be more story driven, so it will give games like Kakarot a shout...but if it's any good online then we'll see what it delivers.

Suno is correct. Budokai 4's purpose is to continue the licensing deal. It'll most likely be something like xenoverse, jump force, or other anime arena fighters, and be a platform to sell tons of DLC characters. Might have the whole story, dbz to super, but they may chop that up and sell it as dlc as well. It's not going to crossover with the competitive fighting game scene.

100% it's going to be like that, in every way it can. Tenkaichi's greatest strength was their rosters and there's just no way a company today will not take advantage of that, I mean look at all the dbz games out right now. dbfz is definitely safe from bt4, it might take all the xenverse players back tho.
