Nintendo Switch's performance
Hey all,

I realised how hard it is for me to run this game 1080p 60 fps like the Switch, even though my laptop never struggles to out-match the Switch in any other game at the same graphics settings. It is definite that the Switch runs this game at lower settings than PC's lowest in-game settings.

This video is my reference material:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrOqtzzqU1A

From the video I can see that the background assets are definitely a downgrade from PC, PS4 and XB1. Since this is UE4 I expect there to be some sort of tweak in the config files that can lower polycount on assets.

If anybody knows how to, please let me know! Then I (and potentially others) will finally be able to experience 1080p 60fps DBFZ, like Switch owners do, without a more powerful machine!

*edit*
Specs:

Nvidia Geforce 840M 2GB
Intel Core i7 5500U 2.40 GHz
8 GB RAM

There's no need to go into the config files. Just set everything to low in the graphics options and make sure Window is set to "Windowed" instead of "Windowed Fullscreen" (the labels are misleading, windowed fullscreen is actually borderless fullscreen while windowed is exclusive fullscreen, which runs faster on weaker hardware).

If that's still not getting you to 60fps, lower the resolution scaling. By default it's on 90. 100 is equal to your native resolution. You can even set your resolution to 480p and set scaling to 20, and the game will look like a GBA game:

Out of curiosity, what's the specs of your laptop?

The Nintendo Switch runs this game at 1080p 60 fps lower than lowest PC settings at points, I want to go below PC's lowest just to reach that sweet sweet 1080p 60 fps. It could possibly be that they optimised parts of the game specifically for the Switch and thus probably unachieveable elsewhere. Props to the devs. But I'd like to still try.
