Why is android 17 low tier?
I dont understand why many players are placing him at the bottom tier..? I had no problem playing with him, he is fast and mix up heavy, his forward stance is at least good but you do not depend on it. His back and forth dash can be cancelable, which can translate to super dash, vanish and plus frame. He has android 18 fast ki blast. He has a sliding kick which is good vs reflect players. He got Air super, down super ssj3 behind the back, and strong level 3.

so your opinion?

some of the worst normals in the game. multiple hugely telegraphed gaps in his blockstrings that need assists to cover. Low damage out of anything started from his rekka mix. possibly the worst neutral in the game due to his lack of meaningful projectiles, unsafe movement options and terrible buttons. As well as having one of if not the worst assist in the game and a cinematic side switching level 1 which greatly limits DHC synergy. And his post lvl 3 setup is nothing special.

Basically for him to be a viable character in any serious manner of play he needs 3 assists... 1 for neutral to let him actually find a way to approach, 1 for combos to get past his low damage, and 1 to enable his pressure.... and even if that were possible his rekka is inferior mix to any character with a special that leaves them airborne and it makes him extremeley linear which translates to being predictable.

he is definitively the worst character in the game... which sucks. And Arcsys has to figure out how to fix what is the worst designed character on the roster when none of the obvious fixes would make much of a difference at all.

But with that said if you wanna play him then play him. Unless your goal is to win tournaments Tier Lists are largely meaningless.

He has some really telegraphed moves and his 214 ki and 236 L M H leave him wide open in telegraphed moves

Hes really good in the corner but that is about it, he really needs some kind of buff or rework

My 17s putting in work. As long as he's in your face oppressing, bottom tier means nothing to me.
To be fair i still think beerus is bottom tier as he don't have anything he accels at.

thats what i mean, this is team based game and android 17 is more of a point character, if you keep his stance on and press randomly, opponent cant read that attack pattern especial Light Stance. Medium stance for charge attack at mid range.

OP, 17's mixups are not true strings, and they have gaps.

Garbage normals, gimmicky blockstrings, and his wall jump is pretty bad.
Epic Gnest Dec 19, 2018 @ 6:56am
Android 17 doesn't have much to offer, other than having different mechanics with power blitz and wall jumping, which aren't helpful at all because both require timing to power blitz and prepare for a wall jump.

Plain and simple he's bad because 1.He's hard to play with bad frame data. 2.He just isn't great at anything you might as well play beerus.
