The story mode is a drag in my opinion, even if you enjoy fighting AI. It drags on forever, has a boring story, and the AI never gets challenging in it even on hard mode once you slog your way to that mode. The arcade mode is pretty fun and you can do local battles against AI where you can set the AI to its max challenge level.
I like PvE and I'm thinking on getting this game on sale (edit: i did not, as of edited date).
I have Xenoverse2 and I loved the PvE but I also like this 2D style which reminds me of a MUGEN approach
Awesome!!
At the higher difficulty settings, their playstyle doesn't improve. They simply start doing ridiculous amounts of damage and build an ungodly amount of meter.
If you're any good you'll figure out how they function and start absolutely steamrolling them. A casual player can get their butt kicked, but it won't feel fair and it won't in any shape or form be an enjoyable experience.
The storymode is a slog to get through. Not just because the AI is hot trash, but also because the pool of characters you'll be fighting is very low (base roster, and not even the entirety of it).
DBFZ is an awesome game, but singleplayer was a complete afterthought. You're better off spending your money on something else.
theres a point where if you don't lose a single round in arcade mode its almost better to play people.
I was researching for a PvE oriented game, which this one lacks of.
Thank you for the informative replies.
edit: wow ty for the steam points! i guess a fanboi got angry because i dont like PvP
