Krillin vs Piccolo

Someone one time said Krillin was better than Piccolo. I laughed. That was when the game first came out. Now that the game's been out longer than one month I can look back and see how far down the roster Krillin has fallen. I originally said Krillin was the worst out of all the humans on this game and looks like I was right! Lol!

Who would take a Krillin player seriously? Here's some Krillin vs Piccolo play:

Well, I have played my fair share of Krillin, he is fun to play, has good poke and some interesting setups in the corner + oki with the rock. However, I feel his assist drags him down, as it is not useful for pressure or extending combos. Also, his lack of range on some moves can make you feel a bit limited when playing against characters with better range.

Exactly my thoughts. Easily one of the top 3 WORST assists in the game, hands down. Krillin isn't as bad of a character as people would rank him, but because of his assist people would prefer a beam assist or a rushdown like Goku or Yamcha.

What I suggest is what a lot of people have already suggested. Either change the assist calls to choosable assists (like MvC series) or customizable assists (like Skullgirls). I guarantee if we could choose Krillin to have his Kamehameha as his assist, more players would pick him.

Hell, exactly that. I switched Krillin for Goku Black not because of the better range, but solely because I could pressure or extend combos with his assist. I felt I didn't have one of my buttons when Krillin was not on screen. I mean, you can have some uses for the rock part of the assist (but it is somewhat of a chore) and you can use the senzu to try to bait opponents (and to recover blue life obviously), but in the end it is just not worth giving up a assist. It is a shame, I really like being able to jump while charging the kamehameha, his directional ki blasts, his afterimage, amongst others of his tools

Who would take a Krillin player seriously? Theres a socal krillin player who's very good. Also, I'm South florida player and know of a really strong krillin player named BeautifulHair. He's one of the best in the state. I agree that Krillin is not that strong but that's only based on his assist and his shallow normals. Hes a small character, which is an advantage, he has a strong air beam, a solid oki corner game, and senzu is at least somewhat useful is you're super low on blue health. He's by no means awful and unplayable.
