Has the game ever been on sale? I really want to start playing the game but I don't know if I should wait for it to be on sale or buy it right now.

Personally the game doesn't feel like it is enough to warrant paying full price, but if you are really desperate to play the game $60 is fine. I think just waiting for a sale for the base game and dlc is probably ideal, but who knows how long until it will go on sale.

From my honest opinion, I wouldnt buy this game at the state that its in right now. The player base has evaporated down to more than 80% and I still see a decline every month. Unless you have a PS4 or Xbox One, I wouldnt buy it on PC from my personal view. Consoles seem to be where people play DBFZ generally

I wouldn't buy this game on regular price, at least not in my region. The game hasn't been on sale in the steam store (maybe for the summer). But you may find it discounted now in other usual places.

It has not been on sale yet on Steam. I will suggest you wait for a sale to be honest. Then the playerbase will increase a bit then too and you will have easier time in online matches.

Not on Steam, but it has been on sale on several official resellers already, including 38% off on GamersGate prior to release.

Gamebillet has it on sale right now, 16-23% off depending on the edition you want.

On Steam, I'd expect a discount by the next Summer sale.

No. But pay2win would be a case where you couldn't beat them without having the dlc yourself. That's not the case. I've beaten enough broly/bardock players now with non dlc chars.

The regular price is worth. I bought the Ulitmate Edition and I know that I will play it over 100 hours so in the end cost me the game less than a Dollar per hour.

For the first Sale you can wait a long time 1 year at least if that are Bandai Games.

2-3k for a fighting game is a good player base number.
