If you want to grind, do the Tournament of Power in the dojo. The version where everyone starts with low health is the best zeni/h, about 30k for about 4min of work. You need to complete the first five or so tournaments once each to unlock it if you haven't already.
That said, I'd suggest you don't grind at all. They keep giving away more and more free zeni. You'll get your last 8m for almost no extra effort if you just wait a bit and participate in the various events. Just keep checking the megaphone guy at the arena.
Looking at the past two weeks' worth of prizes:
200k for only 20 raid battles, even if you spammed only the easiest ones, on top of the rewards you got for every 3/5/7 wins. You can still get this if you haven't, 13 hours left. lol
700k for daily logins from the 13th to the 20th
1.5mil for being in only 20 ranked matches until Jan 20.
Keep login into the game daily or pretty offten at least; now and then they throw zeni at you for just showup during certain events, there are events to give extra zeni for playing ranked/casuals. Raids also give good zeni for playing them and after the raid event is over, FighterZ Cup also gives rewards for getting points (and you get them by winning AND losing on ranked/casual).
If you do want to grind for the zeni tho, the fastest method to farm it is Tournament OF Power:

Damn I missed this bonus period
No longer the case. Tournamet of Power is more efficient than the biggest possible optimization you can come up with in story mode. Plus, ToP doesn't require any preparation work.
