Is Shenron disabled in some modes?

I know the drill to use Shenron, you must have all 7 dragon balls and then perform an autocombo (7x5L chain), but I somehow can't seem to be able to summon him neither in Ranked Matches nor in the Z-Dojo's Tournaments.

I'm completely certain I already have the 7 dragon balls at that point (I've been trying to use SSJ4 Gogeta's C assist to grind them) and after performing an autocombo nothing happens.

This has happened to me multiple times, and it's very frustrating. Am I doing something wrong?

You also need to have 7 meters in order to summon him, along the 7 dragon balls. Only then landing your auto combo will trigger his summon.

Jesus Christ I've been looking at the DBFZ Wiki for hours and didn't find any reference to the 7 ki bars. Went into the game tutorials to refresh my memory and lo and behold there it was...

I feel so dumb now, I've easily lost 5 games due to this XD Thanks btw

You can get a dragon ball for each L auto combo or each combo of 100+ hits. However SSJ4 Gogeta's C assist also grants you an automatic dragon ball, so it's far easier to get them that way.

Gogeta4C assist yes, or pressing 22S input when you play him, will grant you a Dragon Ball on each use. I love playing Ggoeta4 on raids to also try to get shenron to revive teammates.

You can get the dragon balls by doing a combo of 10 hits times the number of each ball, ie. getting the 1 star ball can be done with a 10-19 hit combo, the 2 star with a 20-29 hit combo and so on. But doing several 70+ hit combos will only get you the 7 star ball.

Might be rare, but should be something to always keep an eye out, in case you or your opponent can go for it; more to take the option away from your oponent and getting a benefit yourself.
