To answer your bait question OP, there is none. Nor have I ever even heard of such a thing.
Also, if you know nothing of the characters that is your own fault. They are available to fight against in arcade and ToP modes. On top of that, there are hundreds of tutorial videos about the characters you can research on online.
Also, I'm just about willing to bet this person is connected to the ****. Just like in a previous clearly bait thread, the OP has basically zero posting history. makes me think he/she is someone that has access to an account with deletion privileges.
These random, don't post for years people, keep popping up with CLEAR BAIT posts, can say things that get other people banned.... then disappear, thread not locked. Any one else notice this happening on a near weekly basis?
Just me? Going to take a screenshot of this thread I think.
Since there are no other forums of Dragon Ball FighterZ that I know of this was the only platform to ask a question.
I seriously hoped that there would be a way to turn off content that I can't access unless paying for more, EA style. I don't care about DLCs and I don't want to play against characters I didn't pay for.
Barring actual content away from people who purchased the game is one thing, but then forcing us to match against people who own those contents is sickening. Why not make skins the only DLC content like any other competitive game?
Saying that I can just look up the internet what those characters do is cheap, really cheap. I bought the game fair and square and I should AT LEAST have the ability to CHECK what those characters do EVEN IF I CAN'T PLAY THEM. I shouldn't rely on outside sources.
Imagine this:
You buy a card game and your tutorial is how the game work, but not what the cards do: That you have to look up or ask people.
See the problem here?
Also half the deck is straight up blocked from you because you don't have the "CardZ Expansions™".
P.S.: I'm not the illuminati, I'm just a dude trying to make sense of this game so stop with the conspiracies.
You better give up on fighting games all together then. Seriously. Not trying to troll or be rude. If that quote is your honest feeling, I hate to tell you this is the standard DLC format for fighters. Base game releases, DLC character follow until popularity/profit bleed off. Then a sequel may/may not follow. It too, will follow the DLC format. Check all the major fighting games, it will be the same.
They didn't "bar" any content away. You can't bar content that doesn't exist. They created and added more at a later time. You purchase the base game, you get the same thing everyone else gets. The content that was there upon release. Fighterz pass 1 was also there, they give you the option to purchase it as well. But none of these DLC characters were available upon initial release of the game. They were developed seperately and made avilable to those that choose to purchase them. A lot of people do, thus we keep getting Fighterz Pass.
First off, you can't cross genre... DBFZ is a fighting game, it is not Fortnite. Stick to the genre. I'm not aware of too many fighting games, if any, that offer skins only for DLC. If they do, I'll be shocked. Can't really say why doesn't this fighting game follow a ***insert different genre all together*** dlc format!?
I was born in the 80's. All we had were outside sources. Though, I suppose that is irrelevant to your comment. So, let me offer another, legitimate route for you. See, you bought the base game, so you DO have the ability to play as ANY DLC characters you run into in any mode, regardless if you have purchased them or not. Just choose ginyu, and body change. Then, you can hit pause, look at the full moveset (I believe) and take them for a general test run.
Here it comes....
Yes I do good sir. You are attempting to compare a card game with an online fighting digital video game. Let me ask you, if I buy the 2020 model of a car with EVERY single extra option and feature available on it(or not, doesn't matter for this example).... Then in 2023 they release a new model with new features.... I should be able to get all those new features for free on my car?
My dude, if I bought this game at launch, which I did, and half the content was locked I'd be rioting. Anyone would. Thankfully that wasn't the case, the full game was available to me and all characters were unlocked except 21 and the blues brothers. Now, over time they developed new content, I purchased some of it, not all. I enjoy the choice of doing so, my little way of saying "I SUPPORT YOU DEVS, GIVE ME ROSHI AND TAKE MY MONEY". heh.
That's just what they'd say....
*tinfoil hat on*
