any mods that increase performance?

so here's my situation: I got this game and a nice joystick only to find out that my computer (which is 5+ years old) can't play it without turning the gfx all the way down, and even then there's still lag in certain situations, like when I'm playing story mode. I really want to play the game, but the lag, as you can imagine, sucks out all the fun from it. do you know if there are any mods that let you turn down the gfx even more than you can from the in-game menus? If I could just play without the slowdown I would turn off shadows and textures and anything neccessary.

(also, I don't own a ps4 so I can't get the game for that either).

Also I don't think any mod exist, game runs very well on most settings, so it's not needed.

the game only needs a 1gb videocard if your running less than that its really time for an upgrade. if your willing to buy a joystick why not spend 150$ on a gtx 670 which can still run most new games that come out today. its not the best card obviously but its cheap and it gets the job done.

gpu: geforce gtx 660

well, there's no way around it, I need to upgrade my computer (or get a new one). I think there's 2gb of memory on the gpu, which one do you think is the bigger bottleneck, the cpu or the gpu?

just by looking at the minimum specs for this game, it seems like your CPU isnt up to snuff. you have a quad core 3.2ghz, but it looks like this game needs something more along the lines of quad core 4.2ghz or higher

I run it with a 2.0ghz quad core and a 1gb GPU. Did have stutter problems, but they were solved after I changed the thermal paste and replaced the fans of my laptop. Maybe this will help, idk, you appear to have a better CPU then I do
