Yeah, there's Skullgirls too but that game has a pretty small audience. USFIV is still pulling in a larger concurrent playerbase.

It still has enough players that Quick Match gets matches most times of day (plus the netcode is great so ping matters a lot less) and the community is pretty helpful, so it's not like people can't get into its scene.

I want 3v3, but I would also like there to be something like Skullgirls has, where you can choose your team size and your health and damage output scale accordingly. But even with that scaling, 3v3 is always better because of the assist options and versatility, so it's really just a way to help new players out.

The story mode has battles up to 3v3, but not always 3v3. There are 2v1, 3v2, possibly others.

Based on the gameplay footage I've seen, it seems like other modes are restricted to 3v3. I agree teams up to, but not necessarily, 3v3 would be better and bring more variety. And that wouldn't take anything from the 3v3 core system either, in my view.

Maybe those 1v1 games are not as nice as this one. That's the idea at least.

Also, it's not like 3v3 is something new to DBZ games either. In Tenkaichi 3 you could make teams up to 5v5, no assists but you could swap fighters at will mid-fight and I believe there were even fusions available with certain characters in the same team. XV 1 and 2 both featured battles at 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 all together.

Up to 3v3, great, and the whole assist aspect in this game looks very nice too. Still, nothing but 3v3 in Arcade/Versus looks like an unnecessary restriction to me, especially when the Story mode is not constrained like that.

They wont change the game so close to release, it is what it is a 3vs3 MvsC style game. There is not point in debating no matter what everyones opinion is.

Ps: Story wise they should stop, the whole db universe is a joke now. DBZ was awesomme everything after is a shadow of itself.
