Same, really on the fence about buying it
not really...next
I'd say there's different issues with the release but the style is one a lot of people wanted and missed, myself included. Though another Budokai Tenkaichi 3 would be nice too xD
Sure but the point of a dragon ball fighting game is not to have the best system as a fighting game but make the players feel the closest to what the battles in the anime/manga would be like.
If you take out all the stares are screaming while powering up xD
I'm not saying Fighterz isn't good as a fighting game, it looks amazing, but as a dragon ball fighting game? Not that sure.
No, that's your opinion.
I've been a fan of Dragon Ball games my entire life. I've also developed a deep appreciation for the tecnical depth and competitive scene of well developed fighting games.
There has not been a single Dragon Ball game that could be described as a "well developed fighting game" using EVO popularity as a baseline check. This will be the first one.
That's your opinion too, isn't it? SF was always in the competitive scene, that's what they focused on with SFV? How did that turn out? It didn't even have source material outside videogames and still didn't turn out great.
Sure, none of the DB fighting games had much depth in their fighting system but precisely because of what I said, the average player is either a casual, a kid or just likes fighting games and are also looking for the DB feel of it, they don't really care about frames and the such. They want a fun DBZ style fight. That's what those games were trying to achieve and that's why it didn't matter using clones and the such as long as the overall feel was what the fans wanted.
As I said earlier, I get why this one is being made, I'm not into the competitive scence, mostly want it to play it with friends and it seems pretty great but I also get why it's not what a lot of DBZ fans will be looking for.
