Why does Goku's face look so screwed up?

Out of all the DB FighterZ characters show, Goku is the only one that doesn't look like he's supposed to. His face and I think that features of his face are too tiny and squished together, that his eyebrows are too angled, and that his face looks a lot more flat than in the comics and the animes.

That face doesn't resemble Goku in the least. I hope that will be fixed before the game is released.

The rest of the characters look fine, IMO, but Goku's face doesn't look like it's supposed to.

Also, compare DB FighterZ Goku's face to comic and anime Goku's face, and also to any fan art Goku's face, and it's instantly obvious that they don't look similar, with the DB FighterZ Goku's face looking different, and awkward by comparison.

Two major issues are that the eyes for FighterZ Goku's face are missing key detail that the comic and anime have, that creates the face that is recognizable as Goku's, and also the nose for FighterZ Goku's face is much smaller, and more of a point than the comic and anime Goku's face.

I hope this will be fixed in the final release of the game, as the inconsistency between FighterZ Goku's face and comic and anime Goku's face really stands out, and the FighterZ Goku's face is clearly a miss.

Look at how he looks in the episode 90 and 89. Now look at the other drawings in the picture. He has different proportions, size of pupils, neck, face, in all of them. Now tell me, how do you "recognize Goku's face" ? Because they're all different, and yet it's from the source material. His face has always been innacurate.

So what did they do ? They picked a style for their Goku. And most likely, they picked a style that would be easy to make him transform instead of changing the model. The problem here is not that Goku is not looking like Goku, but that they picked a style you don't like.

Again sarcasm went over your head. I always knew what a "Supa Saiya-jin" was, then I caught you red handed misspelling the word. Obviously your claiming ignorance now to save face, but "Super Saiyajin" is a made up word by you by combining the english translation Super Saiyan with the Japanese word Saiya-jin, yes there's a suffix -jin there and it does have a separate meaning. But of course you would know that if you were a true fan, but you're not, you probably heard that word from somewhere and thought it would make you sound smarter by mixing it up, but that's just you being a weeaboo. i think this post is fun.., so comparing this with anime tv, television, is a bad comparission .
They always used diferent artist, to do the anime tv, so goku looked inconsistent, in cicles of episodes, so in the movies, and manga, his drawing was always consistent almost perfect depiction of him, i watched all and read them all, i think his face in this game, i said this, as an artist, and i used to draw dragon ball characters a lot, the character model of his face look inconsistent in some camera position , maybe his modeel head is a litle to flat i can see this, is not really bad but i can see some stylish diference, but watching the rest of the characters done so well , its weird the didnt went so true to desing here with GOKU

Maybe I'm in minority here, but....
I couldn't care less about Goku and his looks. While I absolutely adored Son Goku as a kid from the start of the Series... from DBZ onward, somehow slowly he became the least interesting character of the entire cast. While the story still evolves around him, he became boring and uninteresting, compared to others.

Wow. You came back just to try further to play your previous embarrassments off, while inevitably embarrassing yourself some more? How many times are you going to attempt to save face, and utterly fail at it?

Everything you think you know about Dragon Ball you learned from Google in the past few days, with a little help from posters like myself. Heck, I was astounded when you thought that name-dropping the intro music title to Dragon Ball was some sort of "gotcha" moment. That act in itself demonstrated that you are a DB virgin.

But that's not what this thread is about. It's about Goku's face in DB FIghterZ being screwed up, and all the other noise is just you desperately trying to play off all the times you stuck your foot in your mouth.

Yeah. It is strange that Goku is the character that's been given the least amount of attention to accuracy.

And while the animes have featured different artists with different styles, there are generally some things that were always consistent staples of the character designs, like the way the eyes are done.

I get an artist wanting to try out their own ideas and styles, if that's what happened here, but I don't necessarily agree with doing that in a flagship title for the series, particularly one that is all about capturing the authentic look and feel that the fans know and are familiar with from the series.

I've just checked by comparing shots from the show and their recreations in FighterZ and the proportions match. There's nothing wrong with Goku's face, you just wanted to cause an argument in the FighterZ community section because you have nothing better to do with your time.

It can't be helped unfortunately this is 3D, as skilled as Arc Systems is at creating perfect 2D sprites in 3D form they cannot pull off this.

Vegeta nose from the side also looks like a pig, his face is not good from the side, nothing we can do about this.

Arc systems have the best artist on the planet they are the only ones capable of creating 3D models to look nearly identical to 2D sprites.

You will never get the perfection you see in the DBS TV animation because those are hand drawn 2D
