If you were to use Number pad notation, 4 is to block mid and high, 1 is to block low and mid. Hope this helps!

i've found that blocking low and jumping if he tries to grab works, if you see him go airborne just jump and keep blocking, if he whiffs the grab you can land and punish and if he was just mixing you up you will still be blocking.

Actually, good Goku UI players are impossible to block, especially when they start their combo and you're blocking and then end it with heavy... you'd expect a super dash after so you 2H, NOPE, instead of super dash they would do the EX version of that uncounterable move he has that sends you flying into 10 hits and which, in itself, starts a whole world of pain!
I thought I had this guy all laid out from the amount of losses I had against him, but everyday there's one other player I play against who knows how to use this OP ♥♥♥♥ to make you scream for your life. He's one heavy counter machine!

In this game with delay based netcode, even when you're playing against a vegito, you'll still get hit, cuz the game can't register your inputs right all the time. You're only playing the real game offline.

when you play so much this game you already know what will be the next combo, you will have to block.

214L is + on block so never try to punish it. Never try to punish a blocked 214H either because they can just do it again.

You should just block low against UI Goku and try to react to any overheads. A lot of people try catch you off guard using his 2 hitting 2M and other lows, constantly switching how you block against him can be very dangerous. Good thing is that other than the regular IAD heavy and 6M, UI Goku doesn't have amazing overhead options. He can try airdash in at you after using 2H in a blockstring, but if you're aware it's a thing you'll never really get hit by it.

Another thing to watch out for is his 236X set of moves. Covering yourself with an assist and using 236M/H is a super easy way of switching sides and crossing people up with UI Goku that a lot of people seem to fall for online. Don't be one of those people and keep an eye out for UI Goku players doing it.

Buddy if you're just instinctively 2Hing when you block a heavy move that's just you being an idiot, nothing to do with the character.

And still you haven't given us any insight on how to counter said followup! Again, leaving the whole picture for a small detail lol

How to counter? You don't. You just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ block it instead of mashing buttons and trying to punish it.

The move goes through block (the S move with a cinematic and you taking a beating behind him)

You said EX move. Ultra Instinct Goku does not have a single unblockable EX move.

lol he does, he goes through you and then a cinematic ensues. Everytime he hits me with that, I'm blocking!

Pretty sure someone who plays Goku UI here could clarify (at least give me the move's name)
