Its only after ASW sees how people use the avaliable tools, they adjust them, tkae GT goku for example, his spirit bomb oki was ABSURD anywhere on the screen; they nerfed that and GT's second hit on the auto combo; but buffed the Power Pole as people werent using it as the kind of tool ASW intended to be used.
SSJ Goku got rebalance to make his 2M no longer a guarantee crossup mixup, but as an opener/distance option; you legit can see SSJ like at half the screen distance and approaching, you MUST wonder/react if he will instnat airdash + button; or just 2M from there; and open you up.
I used to think DLC characters were absurdly powerfull too, particulary ZBroly, Bardock and SBroly; but after I adqurie them myself and lab them for few hours, I figure out their pros and cons, so when I run into them, Im not that scared anymore. I knew thats how I would feel after read so much complains about Vegito, yet people know how to exploit his weakness to beat him easily (and he was my first character in this game).
Don't tell me you're talking about Videl, her autocombo starts with a low that looks like an uppercut lol She's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy... Literal opening-up machine, and because not many play her it makes things worse
I've fought Videl players who use that dodge move with brutal effectiveness. You're hammering into them as they block and suddenly they dodge one of your attacks and launch into a brutal counter combo that you have no hope of blocking.
In papper, the spot dodge put you in an even or negative situattion, it really depends what Videl spot dodges to make use of that. Similar to reflect, where after doing it, you still need to be sure you are out of reach or have a button to punish your opponent after it.
Again, even bad tools can be put to great use in the hands of good players or players that know the roster.
"3 parries" by that logic hit and jiren are busted. not to mention most of the time with ui goku's basic parry you lose your turn. his super can easily be punished with a raw lvl 3 if you predict it.
"combo starting DP" totally not punishable at all on block. literally the only difference from a reversal is that you spend no meter.
"combo starting command grabs" literally every grab can lead to a combo tf are you talking about? and unlike grapplers you can 2H the whole flip mixup other than 214H.
so what your saying is, this game is pay to win cause you have to Buy the character to go into training mode with it?
They realease new characters as DLCs so you would be forced to get em to be competitive.
