Combo for noobs
I'm new in DBFZ. Can someone write simple combos and effective combos for noob like me? What is better - gamepad or keyboard?

I suggest if you're going to play on keyboard to follow this configuration.

Numpad Configuration:
9: Superdash
8: Dragon Rush/Throw
7: Special attack (Paired with either A or D will be reflect)
6: Heavy Attack (Paired with S would be Down heavy to counter super dashers and be used in BnB combos)
5: Medium Attack
4: Light Attack

W: Up
S: Down
A: Left
D: Right

UNDERSTANDING 2H AND OTHER COMBO "Language"
As for combos to begin with. You could never go wrong with a standard BnB combo. If this is your first fighting game it would work to your advantage to learn the "language" of combos. Such as "2H" which means down heavy. A good way to know what the number next to the letter means is to look at a numpad as a compass, left being 4, right being 6, down meaning 2 and you'd have to hold down the "crouch" button with the attack, etc. BnB combos work for every character except those that cannot 2H mid-air. Those characters being:

Zamasu
Jiren
Yamcha
Nappa
Android 16
Broly
and Fat Buu
(Lord Beerus can but should only 2H at the end of a combo followed by QcbM).
Qcb - Quarter Circle backwards - on keyboard would be pressing SA or SD depending which side you are and either Light,Medium, or Heavy attack.
Qcf - Quarter Circle Forwards - Same goes for above ^^^

Good Combos BnB - Bread and Butter combos

2M 5M JumpM 5L 5L 2H Superdash 5L 5M 2H 5L 5M 5H (Does not work with the characters that cannot 2H mid air as shown above)

2M 5H Superdash 5L 5M 2H 5L 5M 5H

Those are just basic combos, once you find a team you enjoy you should look up combos correlating to your team. They might have some synergy where you may use assists to lengthen combos which do more damage.

Have fun and Good luck! Hope this helped!

my dude believe it or not, JUST MASH YOUR LIGHT ATTACK, you dont need fancy combos just by using that you will reach high ranks at this game, and you can use the universal combo, 2 lights, 2 mediums, heavy or special and a assist so you can be safe again if you miss, if you dont miss you have to continue that combo with an air combo and of course gamepad should be better

2M M J M L L 2H H M L L 2H JC L M H.

Works with most characters in the game, you can and should tweak it according to the said character. In case you can't read what I wrote here's a simple but longer version.

Crouching medium, medium, jump, medium, light, light, down heavy, heavy, medium, light, light, down heavy, double jump, light, medium, heavy.

This is the BNB of DBFZ. Easy to do and does actual damage.

I use a Xbox one controler but I've never tried the keyboard so I won't tell you what's better.
