Arena fighters can be fun casually as a sort of virtual toybox but nobody really takes them seriously.
Arena fighters are a purely casual sub genre of fighting games. that's not me telling myself anything that's me pointing out a fact.
And for the record I personally like Arena Fighters, always have. And as I stated they are fun to just play, but they have always had entirely too much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on a fundamental level to be taken seriously in a competitive environment which happens to be what defines "Real" Fighting Games.
P.S. wait... did you even read my original post? or just see "arena fighter" and think I was calling it a fighting game while ignoring every other word?
TBH, is there any GOOD and technical arena fighter other than gundam EXVS ?
Would Anarchy Reigns count? Although people still kinda broke that game after a while...
The game is disappointing. It is uninspired, lazy and ugly.
Do take note Jump Force is like the 4th entry of Jump Versus series, 5th if you include DON
Jump Force
- Downgrade of all previous entries
- Lack of character choices ( most of them are manistream shounen characters)
- No Facial Animation ( for a game about different universes to collide which have tons of personality, we instead got robots that fight each other)
- No Unique Intro ( everyone enters the arena the same way. Zoom in, Clash, Zoom out, Zoom in to the face, and bad robots speaking. Compared to previous titles this is plain lazy and uninspired. Watch some J Star Victory from Youtube)
- Graphic ( looked awesome...yes, is it ugly? Yes. The concept of Shounen Jump is to have a multi universe with various art styles to collide. This game however managed to ♥♥♥♥ on that and goes with more realistic touch which does not even make sense for an anime game, the same cast as MVCI. Compared to UMVC3 )
- Camera works are terrible ( It keeps getting worse every time, all character s supers works basically the same, zoom to the face, face closer to camera. IT IS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LAZY)
- In conclusion, you're looking for a game with no love developed, uninspired and have no quality of life, NONE. If you really love Shounen Jump for what it truly is, then don't bother with Jump Force.
