I'll be honest, I don't think the game is worth if you're only interested in single-player, so might save you some more money here.

Then it's fine, I just mean if all you want is to play by yourself, then this is not the game for that.
If you care for story mode you have IJ>MKX>IJ2>MK9
DoA5 is f2p and has quite good story too while T7 has it also good.

If you want solo content, Injustice 2 is your best option. That's the one with the most solo content as of now.
Jump Force is definitely NOT similar to DBFZ in gameplay. For similar games to JF, look up the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series, or more recently My Hero: One's Justice.
