He very, very, very obviously did not say no to the side switch. Sonic, then the evo staff, both got the OK from goichi. Stop manufacturing ♥♥♥♥ in your attempt to be contrarian.
He did say no. He ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coinflipped for it. Why would he object then HAVE to coin flip after? Coinflip for sides are only added when both parties dont agree to which side they wanna play on. LOGIC, USE IT!

He said no, Sonicfox called Evo staff to say that it was legal, and Goichi then agreed. The coinflip was sonic's idea as a courtesy to Goichi. Both players have put their word in this. Stop being so pathetic in your attempt in making ♥♥♥♥ up to be outraged at. What really boggles me most is that this legal side switch is intended to take no more than 30 seconds. You really think Sonic expected EVO staff to not know EVO rules and waste a few minutes?

Beside your poor attempts at connecting dots that don't exist, you people that keep pretending this was to ice Goichi only say that because you have too little fundamental understanding of competitive play to know why Sonic won and why Goichi lost. If you understood anything about this game, you'd know that Goichi's loss was sealed Sonic bootcamped his new team, really exploring the depths of synergy in the game when Goichi sat back on the same ole same ole. Sonicfox's team is better. Goichi was not ready for Sonic's Zamasu+16. He will be next time though.

Beside all of this, I see you all over the steam discussions doing the same thing. You trivialize and muddy arguments with baseless accusations and pedantic cynicism. You employ the most convenient, self-serving explanations. Throwing rationality aside, you set out to prove what you *want* to be true instead of abiding by any real logic. Ultimately, nothing you think even matters because it's a tournament legal switch that Goichi could've used himself at any point, even prior. Maybe next year the evil gay furry will be taken down, eh?

You're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot. #1. Im not arguing fox ice'd him. read my other comments and maybe you'll realize ive been defending him. 2. HE SAID NO. That was my whole point. He initially said no. So im right? Wow, incredible discovery.
How ironic that you're saying im blinded by rage when you responded to me as if I'm making the argument GO1 got iced intentionally by fox. I was literally one of the few on here defending him, jackass.

The best part of these kinds of threads to me is when people on the same side start fighting each other.

I can hear the fox balls swishing around your mouth. Good lord.
I'm literally not taking a side I'm stating things as they are. You're a salty baby and that's all there is to it.
Go1 was playing badly and lost, that's how it works, regardless of how you wanna slice or dice it to put his opponent in a bad light, and regardless of who his opponent was.
You can roll around it with however many excuses you like, this whole icing thing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb. If SonicFox managed, through pure magic, to improve in the time it took to change seats then that makes him a better player, if Go1 lost his mojo in that time that makes him inferior.
It is literally that simple, if you're weak-minded enough that something like that makes you lose all your training, experience and immediate memory of how this other person fights then you gotta git gud.
Maybe you should slip those Go1 balls out of your mouth instead? Lol.
Edit: Nevermind he probably lost em somewhere on-stage after that fight.
Maybe they got stuck to the wrong seat.
yeah if changing a seat was all it took to make him lose then maybe he didn't deserve to win. But seriously this has gotten out of hand and is making both these legendary fighterz look bad.

Oh yes, SonicFox Ice did GO1, American Trash style! Also, did you think FOR A SECOND that ANY tourney worth their salt would EVER, EVER let a JAPANESE player win, EVAR? HAHAHAAHAA!

I don't know what's worse, Japanese player's total inability to win a obviously RIGGED match(dummys!) or Japanese people's total inability to remove/stop the rigging in the first place, because it's VERY obvious that the moment such comes into play, Japan gets 100% demolished! This has been going on for DECADES, it's a meme now!

Better question: How do you rig something if it's the first ever? How many Americans and Japanese people win these type of things? Oh wait, practically NONE, we liberals MAKE SURE of this!

Japanese players win tournaments all the time what this moon landing weirdness you're spouting, my dude? You know what? I don't care.
No one's fighting anymore so the thread's just boring now.
Have a nice day, tinfoil.
