Say what?
His LLL is horrible. Slow, stubby, and the third hit will never hit someone by surprise. The total startup for the third hit from a whiffed sequence is 40 frames, with 2 distinct animations, so nobody will fall for it.
If you have your opponent against a corner or fairly close to one and land his medium sassy kicks you can mash L after the knock back and pull them into a combo. You can only do this when you're on or very close to the ground btw.
I forgot to lower the Ki Meter in the settings but Vegito can generally build 2 bars with his corner combos on his own. His swords build a crap ton of meter.

Instead of doing his Aerial Punch you can vanish instead and then do medium grab where you can do Spirit Excalibur when you land which does more damage than his Omega Finishing Blow. Though you should only do this if you have a lot of meter to spend, otherwise you could just be doing more damage by simply spending that extra meter by doing an ultimate Z change and hitting them with your ally's super.

here are some other basic BnBs that are even more basic for Midscreen.

As for Assists, Vegito doesn't generally gain much from assists unless its Gotenks for combo extensions (which I dont have any experience with) and of course SSJ Vegeta should allow you double super with his spirit excalibur I believe. If you land Vegito's barrier counter, Trunks' assist will hold them in place long enough for you to slide up and pull them into a combo without vanishing and needing to spend a bar.
Vegito goes very well with SSJ Goku. You can always get double spirit excalibur off on his Warp Kamehameha.

Or this with Goku's regular Super Kamehameha though I believe this only works in the ultimate Z change. Meaning you'd have to use a super, tag Goku in to do his, and THEN Vegito, who can then do his spirit sword twice or once and then do a level 3 as I did here.
