Not even 60? The game is capped at 60 anyways... "pretty op pc" is unfortunately nothing to work with. For what I know you might be using your internal gpu by accident. It's a common mistake..

You mean integrated GPU, and no I'm not using that. I don't even have one.
My PC has a Ryzen 5 and an RX580, both AMD (which might be the issue here). Drivers are up-to-date and I already tried messing with resolution scaling and post-processing, but to no avail.

I'm thinking it's just poor optimization, in which case I'm getting a refund...

Well then go get your refund, seriously this isn't a wide spread issue. Most likely it's something with your setup and not some game crippling specific poor optimization or every thread on here would be complaining about it.

If you can't figure out how to get it running properly, go get your refund, leave us be to enjoy it. :)

I'm trying to get it to run by making this thread.
If it doesn't work I'll do as you suggested, but it'd be better if someone knew a solution.

Considering it's not a widespread issue, it's probably an issue with your setup. I'd suggest searching with google for others that have had this problem. it will lead to more help than these forums posts 95% of the time.

I dont think up-to-date driver is always good for VGA, sometime they release glitchy driver. Did the fps drop or the game say 60fps but you dont feel the animation run at 60fps ?

I've never noticed problems with other UE4 games... Depends on the developer of course, but a decently optimized UE4 game runs perfectly on my rig.

Maybe try turn off vsync

I still don't get "not even 60fps", sorry. What is your performance? 55fps? 30fps? 5fps? And what do you consider "runs perfectly"? 144fps@144hz?

Also, this is not a port. The game was initially released multiplatform.

I have a Ryzen 5 2600 cpu and Radeon rx 580, and the game stays at 60fps at all times with everything on max and scaling set to 200. This is at 1440p resolution, so can't say for 4k.

This is far from poor optimized game.
On i3 4160 with gtx 1060 3gb in geting stable fps on 1080p all high and some max.

You idiot. You need to plug in your DVI or VGA or whatever in to your GPU and not your CPU. Right now you're using interegated graphics.
Also check in game resolution scale and resolution. Put it at 1080p and 100%.
