Game is not launching

I recently bought this game due to the sale but it's not launching no matter what I try. I am going to copy paste this so it may seem off.

It just shows a splash, the blue anticheat bar on the bottom fills up, then nothing, no fatal error messages or anything, just doesn't work. I've tried closing it with task manager, verifying the game files, uninstalling and reinstalling, verifying the game files again, deleted the local app data (?), checked my antivirus. I have now also run easyanticheat_setup and checked my firewall. Those did not work either. Deleting easy anticheat just makes it not run at all. Nothing is working.

I just wish I knew why it broke. There was no new patch or update. It just broke from one week to the next which is why I assume the error is on AntiCheat's side.

I finally got it working

First go to C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat then click EasyAntiCheat.exe, Click Dragon Ball FighterZ and then click Repair. Close the program

Second go to the Steam app and go to Dragon Ball FighterZ, right click, then go to properties. Find "Local Files" tab, then click Browse Local Files. Go into EasyAntiCheat folder, then click EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe, Click Repair. Once it's done, then close the program.

Now try to play the game, the difference should be once you get the AntiCheat Splash screen, another screen should be Goku and it should work.

I can play the game every time I start it up. So hopefully everyone can play the game now as I can.

Interesting. I must admit I haven't tried to repair it in both places. Thanks for posting it.

Guys, it worked for me if I launch game directly from steam folder e.g. X:\Steam\steamapps\common\DRAGON BALL FighterZ
Also i tried to repair EasyAntiCheat in this folder but it didn't helped as well. Please try it yourself.

I finally got it to work by launching the game with EAC disabled (using -eac-nop-loaded ). I entered the online lobby, let the game autosaved, then quit to desktop.

After that, the game works again as before (EAC enabled)

I got it to work by going to the local files, right clicking on DBFighterZ.exe and selecting "run as administrator". Windows asked if i was sure, and I said yes. Game booted up. I selected play online. It connected to the servers and downloaded a bunch of updates. Then crashed. I let Steam cloudsync, and relaunched the game normally. No problems. Closed and launched the game two more times without issue. Hope this helps!

No, you make a shortcut of DBFighterZ.exe, and put -eac-nop-loaded at the end. Launch the game from that shortcut

I had the same issue all night. I tried to install their DirectX from the '_CommonRedist' folder in the game files, then I ran the 'EasyAntiCheat_Setup' to uninstall and reinstall it, then finally I ran the game's .exe directly as an administrator and it actually launched and the game seems to be okay for now!

I'm not sure what fixed it, and I'm a little scared to shut the game down lest it breaks again lol

Guys I downloaded the game from steamtool and then downloaded the game but when I Lunch it it says (something went wrong) any solution please

yup, same issue. i guess bandai dont want us playing this game anymore to waste money on SZ dlc
