Controller not working.
My Xbox One controller is working perfectly on games like Naruto Storm 4, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1 and 2, but it's not working at all on FighterZ. What do I do? In the first 2 weeks of release the game was working perfectly with the controller, but now it has stopped working.

It's not you, it's the game. It handles multiple controllers being plugged in REALLY poorly. Not sure if this is your issues, but it was mine. I could only get my controller to work if I unplugged all other controllers (I use a fightstick for this and pad for other games) then restarted my computer, which is really irritating.

There's another solution, though. If you go into Big Picture mode and go to any game, then "Manage Game" under the play button, then "Controller Options" followed by "Rearrange Controller Order." You can set which controller you have plugged in is recognized as P1, which will then work. This changes it for EVERY game though, so if you want to use something else again you have to go through the process another time, but you don't have to stay in big picture mode after you set it up. Why Steam gates some functionality behind the garbage pile that is big picture mode is beyond me, but that's for another post I guess.

It's because DBFZ only allows the "Player 1" controller to control menus and lobbies, so if your preferred method of control isn't set as player 1 you're out of luck unless you restart your computer. It's awful.

Hopefully this helps if you run into the problem again!

Just start the game in big picture. Will solve 95% of controller issues

It didn't for me unless I did the above steps. Maybe it'll help some issues though.

for me it was simply connecting the ps4 controller without ds4 then use big picture to run the game, otherwise it wont work

What I had this problem just today, all i did was while the game was running i unplugged controller and replugged it back in, while i was running in big picture mode.

Thanks Dude. I had a problem with game not detecting second controller at all. Big Picture setting fixed the issue. I suggest everyone try using this method if they run into similar difficulties :) :2018saliengoo1:
