Why Can't I Just Play??

so i bought this game, downloaded it and right after getting past the 3 option main menu after the program is launched, my game tells me that it ran into a fatal error. I looked into this problem for a good 3 hours before deleting then reinstalling the program making sure every trace of the games existence on my pc had been erased. after that hardship, i reinstalled the game but now the 3 option main menu doesn't appear. it can only launch it's anti cheat system before killing itself again this time telling me that it can't start because api-ms-win-crt-I1-1-0.dll is missing from my computer. it then suggested that i simply reinstall the game. I have deleted then reinstalled the game from my pc 3 times at this point just to try and get rid of this ridiculous error. nothing else on my computer runs into this issue including XV2. I don't understand what i have to do to just play the game i payed for anymore so i igured i'd ask. If anyone knows how to solve this issue i'd appreciate the help

Try manually updating the anti-cheat (its clearly marked in the game files).

This should fix your issue:


You are getting that error because the needed vc_redist.x64 and vc_redist.x86 are not installed, and that .dll file is missing because it is a part of those programs that you do not have installed.

I'm having issues trying this. Every time I try to reinstall, I get an error saying that another version of the file is already installed for both versions.

Dont worry once you fix it you get to enjoy random disconnects during fights 2/3rd the time

U only had to update windows and uninstall and reinstall 2015 c++
i never ever in my life reinstalled and uninstalled game cuz of some error ,if u fix error game will start automatically,Update windows abd dowload 2015 c++ 64x 86x nd install then start game

define verify. i've combed through all the documents under the games files but still nothing out of the ordinary. everything looks fine it just doesn't act fine

i tried this but i get the same error. and if you make a file run then turn your pc off i can't see it helping at all considering you'd have to go run the files again creating this awkward loop that doesn't accomplish anything

the anti cheat goes through fine. it's the actual game that seems to dislike the idea of working

i have uninstalled everything on my computer to make sure there was no error caused by corrupted files (because that was what it told me one of the several times I was trying to launch the program) so i had to reinstall everything. meaning i reinstalled this game, all of the windows updates i need to be caught up. i've tried just about everything i could find on the internet as a solution to the problem. but no matter what i've tried it keeps giving me an error. it started as one that had to do with my graphics card being out of date or at least something along those lines, giving me a fatal error. eventually after trying to fix that error, i decided to just factory reset this useless piece of hardware. then i reinstalled windows 8.1 64 bit and all of the updates windows could find. i've even taken it upon myself to hunt down each file i would need to ensure programs work normally and check them off. then i started to install a few personal items being steam and dragon ball fighterZ. this time when i tried to open it however, the error message displayed much earlier. instead of getting past anti cheat, goku's face for a few seconds and into the company mentions/main menu, i got the error message just after the anti cheat seemed like it was done scanning. im at a loss of what to do at this point

go to library then go to ur game right click it, click on properties, then click browse local files and at the bottom click verify integrity of files.

Hmm, fatal error at the start menu? I only suggest manually running anti-cheat because that fixed the "Error after the Goku face" version of the problem. Denuvo can't be the problem since you would have updated the game to get that far already...

You're still in the refund range, if nothing else. I can't imagine your hardware/OS is the problem but no harm in posting in case someone sees the thread.

so i went and did what you said. it started a download bar then finished and said it was done validating but i got the same results
