Seems poor design to have so many tutorial battles in story mode when we have a dedicated practice mode to begin with. I could understand the first map in story mode but not all these maps after where they have the AI like this the entire first arc.
The tutorial levels are nice, I just think they shouldn't have gone so many maps in... or have been so many in numbers as it goes on.
Perhaps if they hard capped it so you only got each type of tutorial twice...
As for the AI being dumb. They don't get anywhere near good till you're at the last third of the 2nd arc.
To get past these issues in the quickness and get to the more meaty game play I suggest a few minor patches.
Because the clones are very repetative and don't really act like smart foes until you beat the whole damn thing and go to play hard mode.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha NO! You are better off with watching all the cutscnes on Youtube and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIux4pnke1U
That won't get him 21 though...
I'd advise just finding the quickest way to the boss and changing your own team as often as possible. Also, maybe play in small portions? I usually did 1-2 maps a day, so I never felt burnt out.
Bear in mind there's an achievement to reach linking level 40 with any character, which may be difficult to attain if you skip too many fights. Also levelling up Goku and Vegeta to 40 will allow you to play as the Blue Sayans in story mode.
I love Injustice 2 story. Played it on the ps4 when it first came out via rental. Really need to get it for PC. Only gripe I had really with Injustice 2 was Kara didn’t have her long hair except in the prologue. More cause I grew up with the 90’s comics with Supergirl (Linda Danvers/Matrix) and Superman.
middle second Arc, I.A is lightly better (Not as good as a human player, but at least you can no longer concentrate your ki in a corner of the map).
I guess that is making a challenge when trying the hard mode. If you are not concerned by finishing the arcs with 100%, you can just skip most of the fights, going for the shortest road to each boss; You can still levelup you link after the game is fnished by doing some maps again.
After lvl40, you should unlock Goku (SSB) and Vegeta (SSB) for the story mode :)
Board games AND fighting games at the same time? Heavens no, HELL YEAH!
Pshhh, don't be a salty sam.
Budokai 2 came out back in the days where you might have been stuck playing with like 2-4 other people.
Stories were fine. The what if fusions and mid match absorptions were BALLIN and the board game made it memorable.
Budokai 2 also had the coolest cover / box art
I feel you. I went through the entire thing in one sitting in order to get her ASAP. It was painful but totally worth it.
