The animation industry in japan is horrible and Super was made on the cheap by a bargin bin animation studio.
BTW that video is horrible, the stiff ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ animation, the simple key frames, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thick black outline and poor shading.
The script in this fight is terrible, but the graphics blows DBZ out of the water thanks to modern day technology.

The point of slop is to suppress the smooth interpolation from usual curves to make the change brutal from one frame to the other !
Outside than this, this is the same animation software.
DID YOU READ WHAT I WROTE. DBZ DOES NOT USE INTERPOLATION! They make a key frame then play the next key frame. It does not tween. Think stop motion, or how traditional animation is done.

No i'm sorry you have zero credibility, you lack basic knowledge. You though DBZ was animated with a computer and compared processing power to try and claim the animation was better because of it. These aren't video game graphics child. They are animations, DBS is animated in a computer frame by frame it doesn't even require much processing power. DBZ was animated by hand on paper using traditional methods. You lack basic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knowledge about what your talking about.

Because it's not curved does not means there is not line for the engine, because the engine, for it animation, need the key frame to be chained to be one file, and not random coordonates.
That's why they use SLOPE, and that's why it looks like SLOPE !

I agree this game is the best looking fighting game there is, you will not find a game that looks more beautiful than this, the attention to detail and perfection in making 3D look like 2D is just mind blowing how ASW manages to accomplish this.
But I will say Vegeta's face from this angle doesn't look as good as DBS TV series. But certainly this is as perfect as it gets when it comes to 3D.

It's because lot of 2d fighter (if not all) got their vibs changed from 2D to 3D assets (street fighter, king of fighter etc)
Guilty gear kept all the vibs because they made the animation looks like 2d sprite; but the option to animate like this already existed withing software animation; they just changed the curves settings.
This is how i was tought in 2003; and the time line they show is exatcly the same.
You are not understanding the video you are watching. GG uses key frames that are posed by hand. But they do not use tweening to fill in the gaps. Its just traditional animation using 3D models then hand lighting the models.
