In low ranks he's more than viable, even better players struggle to block his overheads. Also the fat throw setups and mixups on yt seem pretty legit. His aerial 2H covers half screen, almost any hit can be confirmed into an untechable or even hard knockdown. His 236H goes fullscreen to annoy people. He can combo his 6M... what makes him so bad?
I win with him daily as he's my #2 next to PIccolo san. I assume you figure out his combo by now. If not, do the crouching S and then standing L then jump up to complete your air combo.
I'm not familiar with latest patches/changes, but iirc he was looked down on because his confirms were so unreliable for basic stuff like aircombo xx wheel for example. I think every Buu player managed to get his combos down by now. I thought the cartwheel > assist > fat throw mixup is really strong and his normals were pretty fast (st.l/cr.l) and useful (j.h).
The reason why I made this thread is that I'm barely above just mashing buttons, and I believe Buu works just really well to mess with people. Especially online, so I can't tell how viable he really is. Few months ago it was basically just brkrdave and alioune using him on tournament level.
