If you play fps that different, but no precision required, only fast combo
I've since moved on to arcade stick. Anyway, no, you should be fine using a keyboard, depending on the type. As mentioned above, it's mostly a matter of preference.
there's a nice embedded applet at the top of this page that'll help you figure that out:

I don't think it's an issue for most keyboards these days but it's worth testing if you aren't sure.
fighting games take time no matter what though, so be prepared to lose and learn a lot if you want to get better and progress. they're very rewarding though as well.
Sometimes keyboard is easier for some inputs like charge but DBFZ has very simple inputs so play with something that you are comfortable.
What I'd recommend (and what I've done for arc's previous games) is WASD for movement, and 7, 8 and 9 on the numpad for L, M and H. From there maybe use + for special, and set your assists and macros as you please.
The game consists entirely of quarter circle motions as well, and I'd argue it's much easier to achieve on a keyboard than on a gamepad, especially an analogue stick.
If saying play SF, I'd use IJKL as movement, QWE as the 3 punches, ASD as the 3 kicks, then R and F as the "specials" or whatever you'd call them.
Is there any specific way you'd map certain keys in this game so certain things aren't awkward, like do you have to constantly press 2 specific buttons so you want them mapped in a certain way, or is it really straight forward and just preference?
