PS4 Controller
My roommate owns a PS4 controller and we wanted to fight against each other, but for some reason the game doesn't support it. Any fix or workaround?

I think the problem here is not the PS4 controller itself, rather, using two difentent controllers for the game.............maybe there is a conflict on xinput and dinput this is something need to be adressed.

Are you using big picture mode?

Just use Steam's built in controller support for the PS4 controller to make it use Xinput. I mix and match controllers like that no problem.

That's the matter, I can just pick my side with my one controller, but his controller does nothing at all.

Using One Controller and PS4 here, but similiar issue, indeed.

First thing on google.

You do realise you don't actually need any third party software on Windows 10 to run the PS4 controller (usually)..

I've already heard it has problems with dinput, but some people said it works fine for them. Maybe it is really what the guy above said, and the mix of 2 different inputs causes the issues.

No, should I try?

Can you explain further?

Looks like it doesn't work in combination with a One Controller. No idea

There's a video showing PS4 controller support through Steam. It's really easy to enable and the feature has been out of beta for over a year. For most games, it'll default as an Xinput controller and just work out of the box.

I just got my PS4 controller to work by enabling with Big Picture mode (silly Steam still forces you to go their to edit controller options), but it appears the game still shows XBox buttons. How do you change that?

You can't because this game only supports Xbox controllers. Most games will show Xbox buttons with Steam Input when you use a PS4 controller. Some games are smarter like Okami and actually show the right buttons.

Isn't this game on PS4?

It is, but most games on PC don't natively support the PS4 controller regardless of them being on PS4. Most PC games only support Xbox controllers. Doesn't matter to me though since I know the Xbox layout no problem. I just happen to prefer the PS4 controller.

I'm the same way.

But seeing how Windows 10 and Steam Big Picture mode can now support PS4 controllers without having to install 3rd party software, it would be awsome if the game just had a "Show PS4 Prompts" option. I just hate how both game pads have X buttons but in different places :steammocking: Always messes with my head when learning a new game.

The game doesn't even show keyboard prompts when using no controller at all.
