Discussion on (DR) Dragon rush. Please fix this :)
This is mainly to talk to the community here on DBFZ. I've played plenty and plenty of DBZ now, at lord kai rank atm, but the more and more I play, the more I find DR to just be busted. Blowing up good blocks just ruins so many matches. Yes there is deflect, yes there is alpha counter, but these don't hold enough weight against endless pressure and block strings with barely any gaps. Dragon rush I know is techable but when you don't make it obvious it's so fast that it leads to some amazing damage just for someone that was BLOCKING good.

To put what I wrote in smaller text: please take DR and reduce the height it takes you so you can't get a hard knock down after it, it would balance how crazy good it is, in a game that rewards players for crazy pressure. But then again... you can just play 16 and get a hard knockdown off ANY situation, LUL.

Well it's a good tool to keep the game fluid and avoid situations where both players are just too defensive. Maybe it's my old controler, but I can't seem to counter this reliably by attacking as my oppenent does it.
Also you can actuallty deflect it?

No I just was refering to the ways in the game that actually allows you to get out of pressure. DR goes through deflect. I was basically just saying that for how little ways there is to get someone off of you reliably, DR is just a really annoying mechanic.

It's a bit of a leap to say you want to discuss DR but also in the same title conclude that it needs to be fixed.

You completely omit the fact that DR scales the following combo pretty heavily. I think it's the highest amount of proration of anything in the game, higher than assist calls even. That's a pretty big omission there. I forget the exact number but it's something like this:

Assume you get a 5L hit, how much will the next hit scale? (I'm throwing a number out there) - say 90%.

But if you get a DR, the following hit is something like 40%.

one thing i have noticed about DR is i have managed to block it countless times by simply throwing a punch at the rusher right when he reaches me, always ends in a clash, also if u rush when the opponent does same result

The issue is with the pressure coming from too many safe moves and very little gaps in between.
The DR is basically the grab of this game. A very long range grab. I'm fine with it.

ever tried an over head or cross up to open your enemy also just press any button the moment they dash does not have to be the same buttons for the dragon rush just need to be a lil quick

Like any fighting game, if someone is just blocking all day, open them up with a throw (dragon rush in DBZ) if they tech, overhead, if not continue some block string pressure to crack that egg. This topic is like going into any fighting game thread & complaining about throw being a viable option vs someone who just blocks all day..... RIP

At least there aren't throw loops like SFV still has LOL

Not at all, because this is a versus game, this isn't SFV... imagine marvel 3 with something like DR, it'd be literally unplayable.
