How to do air smash attacks?

I only seem to get ones where they knock them down into the ground. How do I get the arial smash attack, that kicks them sideways into the wall?

Down B knocks them up, maybe towards B? Keep in mind you only get one smash per combo

I tried forward B, but just knocks them down as well :/
