The reason "why" is because this is a serious fighting game and not just a "dragon ball simulator"
Go back and look at old games like DBZ fighters on the SNES and you'll see similar things. at the end of the day, the transformations serve no real, practical, in game function, given that this is a "balanced" experience.
If you want transformations, you have Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2.
This, is an entire differnt type of experience OP.
You can see where this is going, they're just not worth it. We only got the SSGSS ones because they're a simple color change.
ssb characters play differently. Goku SS is a standard character that just works. Goku SSB seems like he is a rushdown character. These are 2 different characters.
You completely missed my point. I was talking about the effort that goes through creating a character and their animations. Of course they're different in terms of gameplay, but we only really have the SSGSS characters for "free" because they're partially recycled from their standard counterparts.
I do miss that a lot :/
Might be not that important since the hp bar gets drained verry fast however it's drangonball dammit I want to start with black and go up to at least ssj4 while I punch my enemy trough the arena like a freaking volleyball XD
Like instead of using bars for supers like every other game, maybe use them for transformations (and supers for characters without transformations)? I dunno, I still think there's some exploring to do in that area.
In terms of animations, it wouldn't change all that much given it's mostly only hair & color changes for most of the characters.
Also, there's nothing "hand made" about this... =/
It's a 3D game man... Plus they already had the graphics system down from their previous games. Yes, there's a lot of individual shade corrections that need to be made for each model, but it's not hand-made.
